Shadow typically smiles when he feels cocky or confident - it’s not that he hates smiling, he just is very rarely ever compelled to do so, or forces himself to simply not do so. I viewed him smiling at Big the Cat a kind of “Ok why is this guy here that’s kinda amusing” smile out of Shadow personally. With that all said, we have never seen a true smile like that from him before this game, where he is smiling truly because he is happy knowing he’s comforting Maria. That’s the goat right there
The greatest gift this game gave my rusty heart is that single frame where Shadow has a beaming smile while looking at Maria. That and a second chance to violently stomp Black Doom into a fine black paste.
DAMN TORQUE EDITED THIS QUICKLY LMAO. I'm shocked you did it all in one go, it took me like a week, mainly cause I was taking my time replaying levels and 100% the game, but still lmao. This was the most fun I've had since... well really recently since Sonic Frontiers lol. I'm so glad the movies exist cause the first one got me back into Sonic after Sonic Forces (2018) just killed my excitement, plus I was getting addicted to Dragon Ball Super since then lmao.
Mephiles is the main villain of Sonic 06. Despite the game he came from, Mephiles is probably one of the best Sonic villains to date; he is Cruel and Sadistic! Long story short: Mephiles could have fulfilled his master plan easily without anybody knowing what was going on before it was too late, however he was in no rush to finish his plan quickly because it was more important for him to make characters suffer along the way acting as a sort of devil on the shoulder tempting characters to do something they think is for the Greater Good, but only causes their own misery Silver the Hedgehog comes from an Apocalyptic future reigned over by a giant fire monster called Iblis who no matter how many times he stops Iblis, he just keeps reforming. Frustrated Silver wants a way to completley destroy Iblis so Mephiles gives him the ability to Time Travel and points him in the direction of Sonic saying "This guy is the reason Iblis exists. Kill him and your future is saved" however Sonic's death is actually the reason Iblis is release, so he's tricking this good natured hero Silver to murder somebody to save the future, but would actually end up causing the very future he tried to prevent! He tried doing the same to Shadow. He sent Shadow to the Apocalyptic Future and showed shadow his future self trapped in stasis, and told him that when Iblis is released the humans looked for somebody to blame and turned on Shadow. Join me and we can get revenge on Humanity before they do this to you, thus creating the circumstances where humanity would turn on Shadow and think he was responsible. Except unlike Silver, Shadow sees right through Mephiles; "You don't care about revenge, you only crave destruction." So since Mephiles can't control Shadow, he tries to break him leading to one of the most BADASS Shadow moments...but you'll have to see it yourself.
As someone who just finished getting the Platinum and S-Ranking every level and challenge, Dee is killing it on his first playthrough! I’m impressed at how good the reaction time is Shadow Generations isn’t something I expected much out of, and it’s one of my favorite Sonic games now
I love shadow's story its freaking fantastic and even cooler seeing shadow interact with both Maria and his creator and seeing him deal with his past and confront it literally was freaking fantastic and sad yes but damn it the payoff to that journey was freaking fantastic in my opinion. :)

We also see android copies of Shadow in the story and in Shadow’s game, implying he might also be one. The final boss with in the Black Doom, there’s a hidden dialogue where Eggman admits he lied and that he is the original Shadow from Adventure 2.
When I saw the start of the DLC content here, I had to pause because I hadn't realized it was going to be a level. I thought it was an added skin and voice option kind of thing and that was all. So I went and played it real quick.

You did better than I did on my first try on several levels. Best I can suggest if you ever do 100% is to use Chaos Control more often, it stops the timer for the duration of the effects of Chaos Control making it a great way to cut time even if you dont actually take any shortcuts.

to me this is just yet another of the many remasters going through the past catalogue of sonic games. if anything I'm at least glad that they decided to take this route in "remaking" Shadow the hedgehog instead of doing the actual game itself. now they can skip that game altogether.
