Some years ago I saw in the account of the boys (TCS), a photo with Kyrre, Kyrre was carrying a dog, and when I saw the photo I said "OH GOD, HOW WOULD A SONG BETWEEN THE CHIKES". The Chainsmokers & Kygo were the first EDM producers I heard, and to date they are among my TOP 5 favorite producers. But I thought a collaboration between The Chainsmokers and Kygo would be impossible and would never happen. A few months ago I saw in the Instagram stories the guys in an elevator with Kyrre, and my desire for a song was higher. But I still thought it would never happen. And recently TCS uploaded a picture with Kygo playing in a club, and that uuuuh, that made me think they were working on something and I never thought we would have a collaboration on this album (WWJ). Around the time the "World War Joy" album came out, I was so excited to hear 4 tracks (The Reaper, Family, See The Way, P.S. I Hope You're Happy) that were gonna be released at the same time! Especially for the Kygo collab track "Family". But around two days after WWJ came out, one of my closest friends passed away. And he was such a big brother role model to me and our friend group. And a very good musician. And he was so young. Seeing him making other people in my church group so happy and giving such a good vibe. I remember breaking down at the school bathroom alone saying "I was sorry" or I could've done something, before attending his funeral that night. Whenever I think about this song or listen to it, all I can think about is him and how the lyrics hit me more on how he was such a good person and he would do anything for his friends and family.
