Freddie said that if the fans wanted to hear the song exactly as it was recorded then they could stay at home and listen. Live shows were different because that what he believed the fans wanted. Some songs were longer or faster or shortened but always different in some way. A Queen concert was a theatrical show and the crowd were encouraged to be part of it.

What she said is absolutely TRUE: NO ONE can touch Freddie vocally. One person summed it up well when they said "Freddie could sing 20 different songs, and it would sound like 20 DIFFERENT people!" I call him a vocal chameleon.
Examples of songs where he sounds TOTALLY different:
    "Cool Cat"
    "I'm Going Slightly Mad"
    "Exercises In Free Love"
    "Ensueno"
    "Don't Try So Hard"
    "Gimme The Prize"
    "Life Is Real"
    "Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon"
    "Death On Two Legs"
    "Mustapha"
    "Soul Brother"
And I do agree: Marc Martel is the only one who's able to sound similar to Freddie - and Marc does a wonderful job of paying homage to Freddie & Queen with his own Queen Extravaganza tribute show.... There will never be another Freddie Mercury, though... There's a REASON he's been voted Best Vocalist and Best Front Man in Rock Music.

there is no singer, no musician, no entertainer like freddie. you can't copy him. he was genuine, talented, intelligent and so shy. he was one of the best human beings ever lived.

Love this Wembley performance & see Freddie feel “a little boogie coming on”. 😂 🕺🕺 This song was written by bassist John Deacon who has written some of Queen’s biggest hits!! Michael Jackson loved it so much that he encouraged Queen to release it as a single!! Yep, MJ was a fan of Queen but a bigger fan of Freddie! Who can blame him! You really need to react to NOW I’M HERE from Wembley! Banger!!

John wrote the song and it nearly didn't even make the album let alone released as a single
