7:44 I've heard that it doesn't really matter when you denoise because the AI looks at the unedited version of the RAW file. I still like to do it at the start because otherwise the before/after function doesn't work anymore (Because it makes a separate DNG file). Love seeing video's like this by the way! It's nice to learn from others, especially because everyone has different styles!
hey Alex! love the videos, I would love to see a CPL masterclass or advice for shooting in harsh sunlight and not exposing the paint all weird and funky with the cpl and bright blue reflections.
As someone just getting into car photography and videography I really appreciate all these free tutorials. Seeing other peoples process helps learn not only the tools, but how they think about the images. One question, I see a lot of times that editing, especially masking, is done very generally in sort of a broad strokes vibe. For example you left some of the mask between the spoiler and left it on the underside of the sunoco sign while doing a few edits. Is that simply because this was aiming to be a quick tutorial or is that how you work as well? If you were doing this photo for yourself or a client, would you still treat it the same, or would you get more "pixel perfect" with masks and stuff?
I recommend using the noise reduction function before removing anything with generative AI, otherwise the noise reduction function may cause errors in the removed areas. Nice edit btw :)
Are you able to do a video explaining what you are looking at in the histograms and how to read it? Similar when you hold option what you are seeing and how to interpret it? Maybe I am a idiot but I do not understand how to read these .
Hey man, good stuff. I just purchased your Camera Course, very interesting. I just got to apply all the info now should be fun. Quick question I've been looking at your presets for Lightroom. Do you think the "Toolbox" V1 would be a good starting point for a beginner with Lightroom? Thanks.
Hey man, stoked to hear you got value from the course! Hopefully it’ll give you more confidence shooting in the future. The toolkit is awesome yes, different than other preset packs on the internet no doubt, but more adaptable to maybe your style. V1 is great, but some of my favourite features are in V2. Maybe keep your eyes open for sale codes in other videos and you can get the whole pack for really cheap in the future.
This vid was very helpful, this is going in my saves
The master at work again
Haha, thanks brother.
Thank you so much for explaining all of this for free!
That’s what we do! I’m a big fan of RUclips haha.
Wonderfully shot by Terry, exposure on point in that raw, and beautiful edit Alex! Always learning something from your videos.
Appreciate you watching man! Always happy to share what I've learned! Hope you’re well!

😮OMG, thank you, Alex, for not just editing my photo but a whole whole video. 🫡

That radial gradient trick was awesome. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Man, this was really helpful! Thanks
Glad it helped!
Really nice tutorial! When u push "J" it also shows burnt out highlights and when you loose details in the blacks and it works way better for me.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing!
Great info & simply explained which is helpful, thanks
