Have you tried sidestepping all hydra attacks? You don't need any blocks, invulns or heals to tank it, every attack from hydra can be sidestepped, not only fire breath. It's pretty easy to do once you try it!

I tried to grasp how to do this tonight while tanking Hydra. It's a little tricky to time it. I honestly couldn't do it. Also Probably because I'm new to tanking this boss. But for other people reading our comments: She has a point, they can be dodged! but you have to time it :)

Have you thought about actually learning the mechanics of the boss and getting a feel of how to avoid getting hits without wasting your whole gear and abilities? Like you do not provide any boons or actual use to the group

Im using a res tempest not a boon tempest so my build wouldn't provide any boons even though I had other abilities. This is a legit class and a build for a tank.
We also see boons optional as a guild. You can do raids without boons. Yet it is not my job here to give boons on this boss. We had other classes for that. So I do not get your point. I tanked the boss successfully, so what is the problem?
