If Nick was in front of a bunch of 40 year olds, we'd be asking all the questions, and not yawning.

Yet another example of disrespecting a truly gifted player. If I were that kids coach I’d pull him aside later and have him apologize to SIR Nick !

This is one of the Top 10 swings all time. But almost zero X factor. Right hip and shoulders go back same time, same speed, about the same range. Not much power, but well synced-up for accuracy.

Interesting comment. Without the x factor as you said, this is still a great swing to have, ya?

      X factor on the downswing

Faldo swings very much like Hogan, Snead, Nelson and other golfers of that era did with hips/shoulders/hands moving together. What you will realize if you actually try it with a squared-off back foot anchored with spikes is how that action twists the muscles of the back leg like a torsion bar and that tension released in the downswing powers the swing by dragging shoulders, arms, hands and club head down to the ball. Rewatch the start of the video where Sir Nick tosses the golf balls.
The X factor style swing loads the back muscles instead of the legs and is also very effective but over the long haul is very hard on the body. Just look at Tiger Woods who took the X-Factor style to the extreme but wrecked his legs in the process. Try tossing golf balls that way.

Have you tried hitting golf balls? Have you tried public speaking? Now imagine doing both at the same time. He is in pretty good shape.

Sir Nick is NOT out of shape. He spends more time on a exercise bike and treadmill than most marathon professional cyclists do.
