Thanks for the review. I've been looking for a new watch for a while, and just discovered this brand today. It's immediately a top contender. Minnesota, USA.

I had an MX10 when the company started out great watch! Like the look of this watch .
It sounds big? Wish you had tried it on to give it some scale.
    Great review 👍

I have this watch, the blackout version, and it’s great. For some reason it has become my international travel watch (I travel a lot with work), possibly because it is so light and comfortable. I’ve also started to use the clip for a few cards, now I don’t need a whole wallet these days. Anyway, great watch.

I've had the hawk a while now. It's still my go-to night shift watch. The visibility from the t100 tubes is superb

Excellent review. Very informative. I'm debating buying this or the Mudmaster Quad Sensor Watch GG-B100-1A9ER. What's your opinion? Also would have liked to have seen you with it on for size

First of all, really sorry for the late reply. I'm back up and running now as a channel.
They're very chalk and cheese, but honestly, come the Zombie apocalypse? I'd be reaching for the mudmaster, particularly if it's solar. Its just a much more capable machine in a serious survival scenario. And more usable in a general walking environment too with the sensors. But...if you want something less bling and more old school, this will do you just fine.

I’d always say a GShock, you simply can’t beat them, I use to have a mudmaster and loved it, it’s got a GShock with a tide graph now which is very handy for my uses plus it’s solar so never needs a new battery although Nite watches have a 10 years battery which is great, I’ve got the Nite Alpha dive watch and it’s absolutely brilliant, I’d be interested to know what you went for in the end 👍🏻

Great video. However, I have owned this watch for some time. The rubber strap broke very quickly and the crown fell off. Nite were not interested in my issue. I also have the Mx10 and the strap broke on that as well

I don’t believe that, Nite have superb customer service, they simply couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating.

I'm happy to say mine is still going strong with no issues. They've hinted there may be a new design out before the end of the year. If so, I'll put it on my 'to buy' list.
Swing by next week for the next review. It's another tritium milspec watch so you may well enjoy it.

@@onthebench5968 hello mate, I’ve got the Alpha, it’s absolutely superb, the design and quality is outstanding, the customer service is so so good, one of the best customer services ever.
I’ll look forward to your review of your new watch 👍🏻

I had similar experiences with my Nite Aqua...great looking watch...but also the strap link pins broke under light use, and after about 2 years, the crown broke. At the time Customer services were not interested and implied that the faults were attributable to me not screwing the crown in properly! This was quite simply not the case.
Nite sell their watches on the basis that they are rugged watches that can withstand the harshest conditions. Sadly my experience was far from this...and parts of my watch failed under light use.
They do look great watches...however potential buyers should look beyond the marketing and initial promotional reviews and unboxing videos and read long term reviews before parting with their money

British company, Swiss movement, sadly assembled in China.

    • @onthebench5968
      @onthebench5968  2 года назад

Very true. Many Swiss watches are mainly China made now apart from the movements, and then assembled in Switzerland. It makes sense when they've got the combination of low wages and the skill set to do it.
They've suggested there's a new model on the way later this year. If I pick one up, I'll review it when I can.
Thanks for getting involved in the comments. Always interesting and a help for the channel.

Nothing wrong about Chinese made, most of your electronics are made there. Granted, you can get rubbish too, but it’s unfair to tar the country with the same brush

The Hawk is one of the better so-called "tactical' watches out there, at least it runs on the 715li - the ONLY - reliable movement made by Ronda, the rest of their production line is utterly crap. However, I wonder what 'genius" decided to make the hands nearly the same color as the dial? It is a 'mission' timer for Christ sake and therefore should be as easy to read at a glance as possible. Instead, the small tritium vial is basically the only contrast separating the hands from the dial - BIG mistake. As I wrote, the Hawk is one of the better models for 'tactical' analog watches out there, but Nite needs to change the hands on them immediately, why not give the Hawk the same fat sword hands as the Alpha? (which is the better watch anyway, just not as lightweight).
