As if any more evidence was needed, this vid proves that I need to take time this year and do a "make a pile of laminated palletwood 'bricks'" project. I see multiple potential benefits:
    1. Practice/improvement of cutting accuracy/consistency.
    2. Glue-up skills development.
    3. Processing rough salvage stock.
    4. Downsizing the clutter from needs-to-be prepped material into ready-to-build-with inventory.
    5. Shop-time spent in repetitive action with tangible results.
    6. Maybe even a few minutes of post-worthy video captured along the way.
The re-working of your previous build material is amazing to see, Mark. Cheers!

Beauty of the source material being free, the mistakes are good for the winter firewood. Only 42 days to retirement, then more time to practice should mean better results 👍

I’d really like to know, is there anything other than pallets you recycle? I recently clad a shed wall in metal by finding some old 44 gallon fuel drums, cutting the top and bottom off and pressing them flat. I also considered making scales from beer cans cut open.
Keep up the good work, and mind that thin red line.

ok mate here is my finish for furniture or anything really except food based products
    Equal parts
150 ml - an oil either linseed, Danish, Tung etc and ( Danish and linseed are my go to)
150ml - an oil Based poly ( I tend to go with a clear matte or satin)
    150ml - Mineral Spirits
measure in a jar with a lid and mark out the levels of the poured liquids to make mixing easier for next time and once the lid is screw on...shake the shit out of it and use it as a wipe on finish
Firstly the mineral spirits will thin out the poly making it easy to spread without fuckin up brush patterns etc and it'll thin out the oil and make penetrate deeper and quicker and will dry faster..
because of this combination you can add multiple layers of finish quicker
experience with different oils and brands of poly
    You're welcome
