On June 2nd, 2024 I decided to see trains in Ashland since January of this year to take advantage of a beautiful summer day. The first spot I went to was Cherry Street. Within 5 minutes of my arrival, Amtrak Lakeshore Limited 449 raced through with 98 leading with an awesome crew aboard. 10 minutes later, I saw MBTA Inbound 2508 with CTC-5 number 1822 leading towards Boston. Right after the train went through, I booked it to a different spot to see the last train of the day, so I thought. I went to a back parking lot of Fanny’s Italian Kitchen in Framingham. There, I saw MBTA Outbound 2509 with HSP46 number 2015 leading with another friendly engineer. Right as I was about to leave, I saw a train backing into CSX Nevins Yard so I found a spot right under the Winter Street Bridge. It was L010, a turn job from Readville to Framingham as it was working the yard. It uncoupled from some cars and headed lite power west as I managed to get a short video of them. They decided to stop just after the bridge but I wasn't sure what it was doing so I decided to end my day there. Overall, I had an awesome day out on the rails!
