Pretty sure Sukuna was never “killed”, he just “died” (of old age, I’d have to guess) but technically he circumvented death by turning his soul into cursed “objects” (his 20 fingers ofc) that could pretty much just exist indefinitely. So even if Yuji hadn’t eaten one of them (therefore giving Sukuna’s dormant soul a vessel to manifest himself into) the finger(s) would likely still just be out there in the world till another person or curse stumbled across them. Which kinda makes you think, how are all the current characters supposed to kill some-“THING” that was never even killed/beaten in the first place??? 💀😭
