I like the fact that manufacturers are interested in Dakar.
I think they can learn from F1 for marketing and increase awareness.
I hope they FINALLY solve the Hunter’s reliability issues and find a better team player to replace Al Attiyah. It’s a pity they won’t get their rematch with Audi who got what they wanted this year and pulled out. 🙁
As a romanian, i am happy someone that isn't a romanian remembers dacia for good reasons.

The body/concept looks very Marketing Design instead of functional but we will see how it evolves and performs

@@gafrers designer and engeenering 1 year of work went to the bin and had to ask AI to make a Dacia for the Dakar Rally...
bro dacia competed with the duster dakar under the renault team via renault duster dakar team
also dacia competed in STCC and pikes peak
all dacias are just extended or lifted versions of older Renault Clio and Kangoo... you may want to add all that experience, besides 1st clio Williams was blue and gold so F1 expereince should be added and Subaru WRC STI for the paintjob... in fact Dacia winned 2 times F1 WC with Alonso... thanks to the asturian, racing blue/yellow colors...so Alonso is coming back to Dakar...

im happy they moved the exhaust to the rear. the hot exhaust gas from the prodrive heated up the tyres a lot and caused many punctures
Dacia aren't that bad these days, I've seen a few at work that are clean AF compared to other cars of the same age, and as they're a budget brand they tend to be slightly simpler and more reliable.
So, finally the new Dacia Sand-ero is coming out?

kinda sad for dacia not participating the WRC which has the great heritage back in 80s(even as a Rally2 homologated car entry), but instead the dakar/rally raid
and mitsubishi should have a better branding effect in dakar/rally raid to advertising their PHEV SUVs, commercial pickups and new pajero project, which renault group doesn't with no reason.
Seems like Renault group has no interest on higher tiers of rallying

That's no Dacia. We all know 2 horses pulling and old Dacia (Renault R12) can do better, 2 camels pulling + 2 camels pushing (or resting) makes real 4x4 DAcia DAkar program...

Nah, it's more "low priced, affordable marque" from Renault, just like Skoda for Volkswagen.
