  • This video will show you how to securely wipe deleted files in Windows. When we delete a file, it is sent to the Recycle Bin. If we empty the Recycle Bin, the deleted file seems to vanish. If fact, the deleted file remains on the hard drive and can be recovered until it is overwritten. So, to truly wipe deleted files, we need to overwrite them by wiping the free space.     After installing and launch the software, you can see all hard drive, USB drives and partitions on your computer. Then find the partition where the deleted files were located. Click on the partition, then go to “Tools” and choose “Erase Free Space”.
    Note: If you want to permanently wipe the entire partition, including existing files, you can use the Erase Sectors.
    Then select the character that will be used to overwrite deleted data. Click the Erase button to start wiping deleted data.
