Well done to NYCFC, it was an exciting and very entertaining finale but I can't help but be sorry for the timbers' fans it must be heartbreaking to lose a final at home. I find that the playoffs were unfair for many teams such as the Revs or the Unions (Doop) because the Revs (who broke the points record in one season) went almost 1 month without competition before playing a semi final conference. The Unions were forced to play a conference final without the majority of the titular players. I think MLS must change the format so that the season is more competitive and more interesting. For that I propose to eliminate the playoffs and to make instead a final between the first of each conference in a neutral ground.
