Amazing! I have the exact same Northern Tool pressure washer that had been sitting around unused for way too long, and as a result would not start. I was literally days away from taking it to a small engine repair shop that would have charged $100+ to replace the carb. As a last ditch effort I did another Google search and found your video. I followed it step by step, got the jet removed and cleaned it up, reassembled and the engine started on the 2nd pull! I am so happy and so thankful for you taking the time to create and post this video! Now I know where to come next time I have a small engine issue. Thank you, Mower Mike!!
I watched a kid spray his leg while working in North Dakota on the rigs. He was trying to wash his boots off and went a little too high and injected himself with 3800psi of a water/diesel mixture. Was in the ER for a few weeks, and lost his job. I gained a new found respect for pressure washers that day.
Thanks! I followed the steps and got my Powerhorse pressure washer working again. Symptom: Started up fine but would stall within a couple of minutes. Pressure washer had been sitting for about a year. Cleared the petcock and drained all the old fuel. Opened the bell and cleared the carburetor. Reassembled then filled with new fuel. Spent the rest of the weekend washing everything!
Worked with small engine tools all my life landscaping. Wouldn't try working on carburetor after bad experience 25 years ago. My pressure washer quit today. Trying to get into repair shop and hearing how much would probably be, I watched half of this video, decided I'd try and fixed easy doing your step taking bowl off and jet out cleaning. Runs like new! I'd hug your neck if I could see you!
Great video! Solved my problem. Thank you, sir!! Not sure if it'll help, but I installed a small Briggs & Stratton 75 micron inline fuel filter. Couldn't hurt I suppose.
This was 2 years ago and you mention that this Pressure Washer was a POS and on its last leg. now, i am looking to buy one and wonder if you recommend Powerhorse or stay away?
That thing sucks, I suggest a Generac. I have the perfect video for ya. Check it out at this link. ruclips.net/video/m65CjYCgq5U/видео.htmlsi=wRmKnquURbG0qr54
Thanks for the video. Do you know the diameter of the tube that you connected to the petcock for draining fuel? I'll bet a 10mm nut driver would save some aggravation. How about just running some sea foam through it?
Nah best way is always compressed air and there is more passages then just the main jet that need cleaning to run well. The main jet controls the fuel mixture for high end or full throttle. For most people it will help it run pipe cleaners work good too. Dont run a pressure washer period with no water ever especially on a triple piston pump.
3:48 you see a box like piece that’s on the bottom of the motor that’s what I’m referring to. I looked up air box and the filter house just pops up. So I’m not sure what it’s called lol
@@josevilla4543 Man I have no idea. I had never even seen that box till I looked at it on my clip. Is some sort of breather box probably for emissions.

That makes me cringe man. I shot a hole in my foot also but didn’t have all the sand. Thanks for the comment and warning
The old powerhorse still has some kick left in it. Great detail on the fix and cool fun for us to have a good laugh.
She is on her last leg, that pressure washer is a POS lol. Hope all is good
@@MowerMike we are great MM, thanks for asking. You use it till its last leg is gone to 🤣

great vid, like your presentation style, glad to be a new subscriber. I was pressure washing in flip flops but after your story wont anymore
Never pressure wash in flip flops! If you learn anything from this channel that is the most important lesson.
Yo yo Mike your a mad man .. great fix and love the post chat lol
Thanks Mick! Yep I have a bad history with pressure washers. Hope all is going good for you and the family across the pond.
Yep, did the trick. Mine was stuck so I just sprayed some carb cleaner through it. Thanks! 👍

A little fuel filter is always a good idea also if you can use ethonal free fuel, will solve most of your issues. Now time to get to work!
Thank you sir... for the tips at the end too
Glad it helped ya out, now get to work!
Thank you so much for the pointers!
Glad to help

1/4 in tube is a good bet. Sure try seafoam is good stuff. Or mechanic in a bottle, I have a video on it
Thanks for a good helpful video
You got it!
Can you give video on how to replace the two small metal pieces inside the pull string holder.
No sorry, I don’t deal with communist
Can you adjust the carburetor? My powerhorse washer idles really rough. Not a smooth idle.
I don’t think so. If you clean it good it should work again
Thanks this was helpful!
Glad you got her going
Thank you so much for this video
Hey glad it helped.
Worked great thanks
Hey do you guys know what causes the pressure washer to shut off when I release the spray trigger?
No idear

Nah
What the box like thing under the carburetor with 2 houses connected to it called I been looking for a name and can’t figure it out.
I assume you are talking about the airbox
