I have lost 95 lbs using mounjaro but then my insurance stopped covering it. My biggest fear is gaining weight. I learned healthy habits while taking the medication and will work hard to maintain those habits.
I believe it is possible to maintain after stopping tirzepatide, but it isn't easy. I had to stop for three months while sorting out insurance and supply chain problems. I had to stop cold turkey at 7.5 and the "food noise" and cravings gradually resumed so I had to keep very focused on the new habits I had established for a year+ with diet and exercise. I am T2D and had lost 70lbs with help from Moujaro and later Ozempic. After I stopped Ozempic suddenly, I gained and re-lost 5lbs several times but managed to remain stable in that range. It wasn't until I resumed Mounjaro (which I prefer to Ozempic) that I was able to make further progress toward my weight goal and break the plateau. I have about 13 more pounds to lose before I hit my healthy weight goal of 150 lbs (5'5") and can hopefully find a maintenance strategy that works for me.
Would love to know when studies emerge that address the longterm maintenance protocol for patients after ending Tirzepatide for weight loss. I suppose that will come after Zepbound hits the market, now that it's been approved.
It's great to see your interest in long-term maintenance strategies post-Tirzepatide treatment for weight loss. As new medications like Zepbound become available and more long-term data is collected, we can expect emerging studies to shed light on effective maintenance protocols.Staying informed through reputable medical sources and consultations with healthcare providers will be key to navigating these developments.
I picked up 8 lbs in a week, but I am one of those people who lost 2-4 lbs a week. I only lost 25lbs in 8 months. I started out 165 and I am trying to get back down to between 130-135 without gaining the weight back. My Doctor stated most people gain it back when they stop. I am determined to figure out how to not gain the weight back. My cousin stopped because the doctor told her she was losing to much weight. Her body continued to lose even after she stopped.
You have to be consistent with the number calories needed on a daily basis plus exercise. I don’t think most people are eating enough while on it and when they come off and appetite come back, they are eating a lot more calories. Just my take.
@@kimdodsonharris you are absolutely correct ! I’ve seen several videos of people talking about what they eat while on the injections and I was stunned. People are putting their body into starvation mode and they suddenly stop the injections the body goes bananas and starts storing fat rapidly. It happened to me on atkins once. I did a very strict low carb diet and it was killing me so I stopped and when back to eating normal. I gained back the 10 I lost plus an extra 15. This was all within two months. I was devastated but it definitely taught me something about the human body.
Monjaro has a learning curb for sure. I lost so much weight. It was good at first to loose some weight but it keep falling off. I now 110lbs and I look like a prisoner of war. I hate it. I've learned a lot on my own. Basically trade the carbs to keep from having to take this drug.

I don't like this narrative that it's about lack of control I gained 15 lbs back in one week after stopping Mounjaro I know I didn't eat that much in a week there is something that happens where the weight comes back on like nutty professor it was not in my control everyday the scale went up
Weight fluctuations after stopping Mounjaro can be frustrating and are not always directly related to dietary intake. It's important to consider various factors, including metabolic changes. As a diabetic monjaro has a learning curb i wish i had known. Once you hit your desired weight and sugar levels taper back down to a low dose. Learn what spikes your sugar which would be carbs and added sugar. Whuch is anything white and anything grown underground. Learn how to eat and exercise as a lifestyle. Once you know, lower the dosage to the lowest even possibly every other week. This is not a goid long term drug. It can cause more problems in the long run. Trade carbs for this drug.

Hello Doctor, Just been asked to stop at 10mg due high liver levels ALT 159 AST 114 I have reversed my HC1a from 56 to 42 and lost 2 stone Could I reduce the dose gradually or stop immediately?
Uhm I’m not stopping. I got my life back. I starved my self for years and worked out only to gain weight. Some Diabetics can’t loose weight that easy. But I still have to work out and eat right on the monjuro for it to work. At least monjuro actually helps. But the pharmacies have ran out of Monjuro for 2 months now. Got people who don’t need it wasting it and the company can’t keep up with the demand. It’s like $500 for one shot that last a week. Most of those that aren’t diabetic would be better off if they just eat right. Must be damn nice you monjuro hogs 😡
What a nasty person you are. Try some compassion. Diabetes & chronic obesity are both health issues. And one is not more important than the other. Both cause diseases & death!! People are not fat because they don’t eat right or don’t exercise. That is far & few in between. You’re thinking of people like my 600 lb life. Stop the stigma! if you mounjaro current dose is working, should you still go up? Is it going to make it better so to speak? I hope I make sense. I'm on 5mg week 3. Can anybody give any advice?
