Hi Leebo - the finish on the old cliffy protector is called "blued". You can get a liquid called "cold blue" that you can soak the protectors in that will chemically turn them that black colour.

Ahhh; now that you say that, I remember hearing that once before. Thanks for the tip!

This is one of my favorite tables but it seems rare for this ramp part to work correctly. Often it's just a little too low when it's not in Lock Mode, and I can't get any orbits to complete. I'm wondering if it's as simple as replacing that flap? I had just assumed the mechanism for raising and lowering it was at fault, but seeing this I'm thinking it's a lot easier. Thanks for the video!!!

Possibly the flap, but I’ve fought mine too at times to get the ramp to raise high enough. I’ve also had issues with it sticking in the up position. The position of the pin that raises the ramp is fastened to the arm that moves up and down by the two coils. That fastener is adjustable to get the position just right. It’s still a bit of pain to get just right. Too much one way and it sticks in the up position; too much the other way and it doesn’t lift high enough. It’s such a vital part of the game for it to play right, but yeah it’s pretty touchy to get it to work right. ;-)

I need to get such "nits" somewhere, do You have a link to such nits in store somewhere ? I can't get that ramp flap here in EU now, probably will have to do one myself, would You mind taking a measure of it's thickness ? If You can measure also width and height of this element and distance between holes I'd be greatfull

Take a look at the video description. I just updated it there with information on where to get the flaps (and other Getaway items you might be interested in) as well as the rivets. Hope this helps!

@@LeebosPinball Thanks, so the best are the shortest rivets for that situation ? I know I can order from passionforpinball but shipping to Poland will be a lot :( that's why will look for something closer or doing something myself, it's not that complicated piece of metal tbh, I just need dimensions.

@@AllPinballFanatic yes, I ended up using the 6/32inch rivets with a washer (below the flap). Material thickness is about 0.015 inch (0.4mm). Overall flap dimensions are 2.67"(68mm) wide, 1.46"(37mm) high. Distance between holes is about 2.34"(59.5mm). Overall, it is rectangular, but a slight diagonal is cut into the rectangle to align with the metal ramp.
