The audio mixing comes first, and depending on the source that can be anywhere from easy to difficult. Most of the time this involves some amount of spectral editing. Isolating the backing vocals is the most common challenge since that is a key part of Karaoke. I've also added de-bricking the music to the process, meaning restoring dynamic range to the music. If a songs audio is pressed up against 0db (which I think is bad all around anyway) it's bad for someone to record or livestream their voice over or just sing over at all because there's no head room for their voice without the sound peaking over 0db .. so I keep room in the audio for the voice. After that I open up a program called Karaoke Builder Studio. It's an old KJ software made for the wiping text you see in the vids. I get the lyrics, make sure they're correct (isolated vocal stems are great for hearing words clearly to double check this), and space them out in a way that makes sense for phrasing. I tell the program when to begin and end wiping each word/syllable, check, double check lol, and export the file. I then run it through Ultimate CD+G Karaoke to Video Converter, which makes the file into an MP4 that can be used by RUclips and people generally. The whole process takes anywhere from 2 hours to 10 hours depending on how complicated it gets. Most tracks end up in the 2 to 5 hour range because I've learned to just wait on the longer ones till technology makes my life easier lol. .. But my record I think is 14 hours on one track. Most recently 'Blackstar' by David Bowie approached that mark.
@@CCKaraoke What is spectral editing do you use, its amazing how to make instrument so clean & how to restoring dynamic range. I'm so interesting & trying but feel something is missing
It's on my to-do list, but I wanna get the cleanest possible audio for it, so I'm waiting for a new upgrade to some of the software I use that's due out later this summer before I tackle a bunch of things.
I love the harmonizing backup vocals. Other versions miss this. Adds so much depth.
This was soo good ..totally nailed it 😊
Amazing!! Can you please make Witches Burn from The Pretty Reckless? That would be awesome :)
I just looked around your channel.
Your channel is the best I have ever seen.
Thank you very much!
How do you make these karaoke videos?
