- Checking out the first exA-Arcadia cabinets for the Western market, the ARC-1! We had Eric and Maddy out from Save Point, and they brought us one off the show floor at IAAPA. Also had Ray out from the Texas ShotTakers to check the cab out!
The design is much like the nostalgic "Big Red" cabs from our childhood, and it captures that look well! The control panel is at a perfect height, great for both kids, and their parents, so they can play together easily. It is fitting that the cabinet matches the look of old NEO-GEO cabs, since they are following the same principle of having a base platform with 4 slots to change out games.
Some of the nice features of the cabinet: VERY low latency monitor, JST connectors instead of Molex, easy rotation of the monitor, low latency exA JVSIO, and compatibility to change to 4p, as well as a slot to add a second JVSIO for that purpose. Everything in this cabinet is tailored to take advantage of everything the exA does well! Even the fact that the monitor is off-the-shelf isn't really an issue. It is the right product, and it works well, no complaints!
I didn't really do a great game demo in this video, so I'll probably come back later once I pick up a few more exA titles and do a video on all of them together (no promises!). I know a lot of collectors/arcade enthusiasts don't like these, but these cabs aren't really made for that market. It's made for arcades. Right now, the landscape of arcades is constantly changing, both in the West and in Japan; nobody's really making stuff like this anymore. We're really proud to work with exA, it brings a lot of joy to us to see someone supporting arcades like this in this day and age. Look forward to seeing these in arcades near you soon!

no i own him hes on loan. i got him super cheap
I would love to get the board and games 1 day.
I just don’t have enough room for a cab that large.
Love the big red look!
Imma start shipping myself around like this
Cabinet is very well made
lmfao i died when u came out the cab
Definitely going to be looking to add one of these to the collection
I bought one a few months ago. I love it. Currently I have DODONPACHI. The height is weird though. You can play it standing or sitting on a stool.
I have had my exa arcadia arc-1 for about 2 weeks
This will make the cabinet easier to move around because back service door is heavy by itself
Wood is not generic or cheap
But I do recommend removing back
Service door before trying to install cabinet where you want it
looking forward to see the japanese eXA-cab. Any idea when it should be ready? This US-style doesn't do it for me.

man im thinking so hard about getting one of those for my soon to open retro gaming store. does anyone know if you can just plug in a capture card somewhere for additional monetization via streaming?
Pretty much anything can be streamed from, no exception for exA. Just DVI-D/HDMI, use whatever splitter you’d normally use
@@GameSaru oh thanks for the quick response! just contacted bandai Namco Amusement Europe for further information ;D

Inclined to opine. Apologies.
I initially agreed with all your opinions on exA, and when reviewers say it's overpriced nostalgia gouging I always retorted that the cost is competitive to compensate not exploiting modern online methods of receiving revenue from every credit spent.
I only recently learned of the C&D to MAME, dictating that hobbyists and home gamers should not be permitted to play a 12 year old game without forking out over $5k, and that completely inverted my opinion of the company. If it was legal to use MAME in commercial settings this would make sense, but instead it just looks petty and greedy to, through legal means, increase the rarity, and thus price, of a product.
Not to mention, looking at modern arcades in a large scope, something aimed at emulating the 90s will not fare so well next to modern equipment. Set one of these up next to a Raw Thrills machine, and kids will laugh at what you spent on it.
In short--it's something fantastic and beautiful... tainted by greed.
Also, more videos with Maddy, please. This is only the second one I've seen with her, and she exponentially increases the quality of the video via adorableness!
“The arcade landscape in Japan will change in the next two years”. I’ve been living in Japan for 20 years and I would like to hear your reasoning behind this comment.
This is the topic for an hours long discussion. I'm not really down to be arguing it rn.
@@GameSarui would love to hear your thoughts on this in a video
