The funny thing is, this has more room in it than the G70. I almost got a G70, but it was just so heavy feeling and the torque converter transmission felt slow after using a dual clutch. This Elantra N should be the perfect sweet spot for me, I hope!

Hi Blake. Well, this Hyundai Elantra N has adaptive suspension, so in normal mode, it's alright (a bit more stiffer, but really okay to be a daily driver), but in N mode, it's firm and nice for hard core fun. Thank you!
I agree. I have a 2019 Veloster N and from a drivers standpoint I would say the car is almost flawless and perfect. It is so direct and precise, but dang, the ride quality is not good.
That track is unique because it has a lot of elevation changes (lots of hills/downhills). WTCR 2021 international race event will be held at this track on October of this year....You'll get to see Elantra N TCR race cars there.

Great video!!! This is the Elantra I wanted, but timing of it's release here in the US, and the ending of my current lease just didn't work out. I ended up going with the Hyundai Sonata N-Line in the color stormy sea... Also a fun car! Would be even better with that electronic LSD, but it handles quite well, and is also quick. This Elantra will be on my radar at the end of this current 3 year lease...
Charlie, the look on yer face while driving this Awesome New 2022 Elantra/Avanti N is priceless! Only thing to complain about as far as I'm concerned is Hyundai should have made "AWD" standard on ALL Hyundai N-Versions. Yes they would cost a bit more, but I think people would pay for AWD! Great vehicle nonetheless my friend!...Can't wait to test drive one when it hits stateside...What colors are they offered in?

I love the colors, I am not sure whether I prefer the sky blue or the light cyber grey (they all are great options). I'm a big fan of American V8s but these cars are just fun to drive daily and on the weekends. Plus, my kids can fit easily and that's huge.

Oil temperatures looked wayyyy too high for me to be comfortable, is there something weird going on? I saw something like 136*c on the gauges, isn't that like 277*f? I thought you never wanted to get oil over 250*f? This car ticks almost all of my boxes, but if it can't keep control of its oil temperature when you are beating on it, I worry about its longevity. Great videos though, I love the presentation and commentary.
We own Hyundai cars since 1995!! The first original Hyundai's with Hyundai motor and not Mitsubishi's motors like used on excel, s coupe, lantra sonata etc (the 1988-1993 generation). We bought a Hyundai accent sedan in 1995, then Hyundai sonata in 2004, Hyundai 2door coupe in 2011 ( the first generation like my sedan), Hyundai accent GT second generation ( again used , back in 2013) and last but not least a kia ceed 1st gen back in 2018!! Totally 5 cars!! Hyundai fan here from Greece! Lantras (later elantras ) and Excel's (accent's) imported to EU from 1988 to 2008.. then discontinued and we got i10,i20,i30.

You only said this once Charlie but what I'm understanding is that in terms of handling and fun to drive Veloster N is the best option with it's light weight and shorter wheel base, but if you had to pick between Kona and Elantra, you'd go with Elantra.
Yes, you're right. But Hyundai Elantra N has better high speed stability and less torque steer And it looks better with low and wide stance. So, it's really up to your choice. Thanks.
I saw that your Vbox was connected, did you get to record any of your own performance data? I saw you mentioned 0-60 figures, but I'm assuming this was hyundai's numbers?
Black on black is the best color for this new Elantra n the trim work really Blends in nicely when you order the car with black paint and black tinted windows with black rims and black interior. Really changes the whole look of the vehicle to be more sportier especially the way it Blends in with the lights and trim work. Recommend waxing the vehicle once-a-month using Turtle Wax and Turtle Wax soap for all Washings using a microfiber towel to wash with and another microfiber towel to dry with. That will keep the car looking like showroom. And will really help the paint last longer and more vibrant.

Also, this car is freakin' awesome, but if it really is a Type R competitor, then, IDK. It shifts faster and quicker. In N mode, it really shifts brutally quick and aggressively to make you feel like you are shifting yourself. Thanks Gabe.
I dont know if its a Korea thing, but at least here in Canada the Veloster N is way lighter than your graph shows. Weighted mine at around 3044lbs with a bit less than a full tank of fuel, and slightly lighter wheels.

You only said this once Charlie but what I'm understanding is that in terms of handling and fun to drive Veloster N is the best option with it's light weight and shorter wheel base, but if you had to pick between Kona and Elantra, you'd go with Elantra.

Black on black is the best color for this new Elantra n the trim work really Blends in nicely when you order the car with black paint and black tinted windows with black rims and black interior. Really changes the whole look of the vehicle to be more sportier especially the way it Blends in with the lights and trim work. Recommend waxing the vehicle once-a-month using Turtle Wax and Turtle Wax soap for all Washings using a microfiber towel to wash with and another microfiber towel to dry with. That will keep the car looking like showroom. And will really help the paint last longer and more vibrant.

Also, this car is freakin' awesome, but if it really is a Type R competitor, then, IDK. I love the customization in the N, and the Type R, at least current, pipes in foe engine noise and uses an exhaust that is a waste of money.

It shifts faster and quicker. In N mode, it really shifts brutally quick and aggressively to make you feel like you are shifting yourself. Thanks Gabe.
I dont know if its a Korea thing, but at least here in Canada the Veloster N is way lighter than your graph shows. Weighted mine at around 3044lbs with a bit less than a full tank of fuel, and slightly lighter wheels.
Well, standard is different by region, but you can see it relatively, Veloster N is the lightest and Kona N is the heaviest. Thank you William for enjoying the Hyundai Elantra N first drive.
