I miss watching JKM's videos. Ever since google stopped email notifications of new videos, I never know when someone has posted a new video. By the time I figured out why I wasn't receiving notifications, it had been weeks since I had watched any new ones. I was so far behind, and I don't have the time to check every single one of my subscriptions for new videos. The only videos I have watched recently are yours Paul. I had to play catch-up today and watched seven of them.
@@SmallWorkshopGuy No sleep, but I still need to watch your video on the mobile shop cabinet build. I was saving that one for a time when I could really pay attention to it, not that I don't pay attention to your shorter videos. I just wish google would reinstate the email notifications for email only subscribers.
Thanks again Paul. As always I enjoy your videos. I started wearing a shop apron a little over a year ago and it sure does save time not having to look for those little things you have to hunt for too often. Peace be with you and your wife my fellow woodworker.
Being I live in the New Orleans area, and currently my shop is not climate controlled it just gets too hot! I actually have the Jonathan Katz-Moses apron, and I think it's great, but I get too hot and end up taking it off. I do love the idea of wearing one though. Great video - thank you sir!
Well, you can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf. The waves in your case is the heat in New Orleans. The way you learn to surf the waves is to move your workshop to Northern California. LOL!
@@SmallWorkshopGuy Ironic you chose Northern Cali - I lived up there once upon a time. You're right though, that would definitely solve my problem! I'm thinking a climate controlled shop is going to be the way I go though.
I really like these short What The Heck Is Video's Paul. You have all the latest tools and Gadgets. But what is the Chalk for? Is it for writing your name on your surf board? LOL you old Coot. Thanks for posting I too have an apron But not from Jon. I have his dove tail jig, works great.
Yeh, and someday I might put down the cameras and save the editing time and actually use some of them thar tools. Chalk is because I am super lazy and in doing rough layouts of parts onto bigger boards, I want to just wipe off the marks without sanding..... but then I know you know that!
Cheers for the advice Paul im going to be purchasing my first apron in the coming months once my workshop build is finished and ready for action!!! P.s hope your wife is doing well and that you are too. As always sir 💯% 👍🇬🇧, what out for them 🌊
My daughter bought me a Bucket Boss for my birthday a couple of years ago. It's comfortable and I like wearing it (when I remember to). The only downside is the open pouches. JK-M's apron is the same way. The open pouches can catch a lot of saw dust sometimes. But then again, if one had decent dust collection, that wouldn't be a problem, right?
I would not want to pull open flaps everytime I want something from my apron. Easier to just empty a pocket and stick in the shop vac hose and then turn it on..... sawdust gone!
I still can't find a good apron, they all are exactly the same in basic design. Pockets in front of you so they interfere with leaning into your work or table? Why. Every apron has lower front pocket and no vests have clasps where they should be. I am about to learn how to sew canvas.
Thanks Paul! I really appreciate it!
Hey thank you for creating the enhancements.

More to come! I hope watching seven of my videos did not cause you to lose too much of the day since I am sure that must have put you to sleep.

I totally agree.... I bought one and it's the best I have ever had
Superb!

Thanks, Rich. Always appreciate your comments and your thoughtfulness about my wife's travails.
@@SmallWorkshopGuy My old coot heart breaks for the both of you!
I'm in the market for a new apron. Thank you for the suggestion!
I don’t think you will be disappointed

Great review, sir. I have never been an apron guy, but the Katz-Moses apron looks pretty nice.
Yep, I wear it often

We are doing okay.... her cancer is like a "slow dance with the devil"... the goal is to make her remaining days as happy as possible.

I am hoping when my wife gets further into leatherwork she'll make me one :D
Now that would be cool - Jonathan Katz-Moses just modifies a basic one and makes it great with some leatherwork.

Guess we are differne heights because I don't experience that problem to any great extent.
