We are super excited to hear that you love our vlog! It is so much fun to make and we love going back and watching the videos. We started this vlog mainly to share with our family back in Indiana but it has kind of spawned into our new hobby. We have several trips coming up over the next month. We will be skiing at Deer Valley, Alta, Solitude, Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, Park City, and possibly Nordic Valley. Stay tuned for more...
Oh yeah. I mean't to ask you if you think our videos are too long. We have had a few comments regarding the duration of our videos. We normally make the first video at a new resort somewhat longer just to be able to showcase more of the resort. However, we have been trying to target between 10-15 minutes per video otherwise. Do you think that is too long or about right? We would appreciate any feedback you may have.
Keith and Lindsey I think that videos are just wright length and ho to alta again cuz we’ve seen what snowbird has there is more but yeah only one video of alta this season
@@janclodvacban1692 Thanks for the feedback. We spend most of our time at Snowbird since we have season passes there. We were actually supposed to go to Alta today but decided just to stay home an get a few things done. We had a big day at Deer Valley yesterday (video coming soon) and our legs could definitely use a break. The conditions look to be awesome at Alta today but sometimes you just have to listen to your body and know when to take a break. Next time we head to Snowbird, assuming the necessary gates are open, I am going to head up some of the bootpack trails to tackle some of the inbounds accessible chutes. I am really looking forward to this!
Keith and Lindsey it’s cool that you have pass at snowbird because it has the most terrain just keep going btw there could be a big pow day late next week
honeycomb has some of the best controlled back country skiing conditions ive ever skied, diamond lane is one of the steepest groomers i've ever skied. BTW I ski enforcer 100's what an awesome ski. I am on the east coast and they do good on the ice hear as well as in 2 feet of powder. In my opinion this is the best resort in the USA, a hidden gem.
I think STH is a little steeper than Corner Chute, but it's close. Headwall is either really good, or absolute trouble, looks like you caught the latter lol. Honeycomb is always amazing, some of the best runs of my life back there. Great video, thanks!
It is always so hard to gauge the actual steepness of the runs until you are on them. The slope angle can vary greatly based on the snow cover. I totally agree about Honeycomb being amazing. I love playing around in the trees once you reach the lower sections.
Solitude is a very nice mountain. Unlimited visits on the Ikon Pass too. I’ve skied it 3 times now and there is still more for me to explore. Fun video, thanks for posting.
We are glad you are enjoying our videos as well as Solitude itself. We loved going there this season and are looking forward to getting back out on the slopes next season. We hope you and your family are staying safe.
We love Solitude as well! We have an Ikon Base Pass this year which gives us unlimited access to Solitude (minus the blackout dates). Hopefully, as Keith progresses in his recovery, we will be able to explore more of the advanced terrain offered by Solitude.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Agreed, Solitude is such a peaceful resort. It's incredibly quiet and not unusual for find yourself all alone, especially in the afternoon. Have you skied the other resorts in the Cottonwood Canyons? Brighton, Snowbird, Alta? I love how each one has a different vibe.
@@KeithandLindsey yes, just before coming to Solitude I stayed in Snowbird for almost a week, attending a conference and skiing. Simply fantastic place with beautiful landscapes, challenging runs, and an amazing spa at the top of the cliff Lodge. But ridiculously expensive.
We haven't spent too much time at Solitude in our 3 years living in Utah. That will all change this season thanks to our Ikon Pass. We are both looking forward to getting more familiar with Solitude Mountain Resort and finding more of the hidden gems that are just waiting to be found.
I'm super excited to check out this resort for my first time this week. I'm usually a snowbird/alta and deer valley girl... can't wait to cover this one on my youtube channel too! woowooooo!
Enjoy finding "your Solitude!" Challenger is one of my favorite runs, it's a steep black groomer. I've heard it's the steepest groomer in Utah. That area is usually empty in the afternoon. Be sure to hit Honeycomb Canyon too. Have fun! ~Lindsey
Snow is about the same in LCC and BCC with this storm because in the first part of the storm had a SW flow and the BCC is favord it turned W NW later so LCC is favored they did make up but yeah the difference isn’t huge as sometimes is
Yeah. It is very interesting how the storms collect in the Cottonwoods and how sometimes one canyon can be greatly favored and other times not. Thanks for the info regarding this particular storm.
I totally recommend Brighton and Solitude in Utah over the extremely overrated Snowbird and Park City resorts. They are cheaper, less pretentious, and you get just as good of snow. I’m impressed at that little boys skills, I’ve been skiing 10 years and it 50 years of age I can manage single black diamonds at best.
Thanks for the comment! I personally wouldn't call Snowbird "pretentious" but I guess I can understand where you are coming from. Each of the resorts has its own uniqueness and special characteristics. I really don't think that you can go wrong skiing at any of the four Cottonwood resorts. Which little boy were you talking about? We looked back through the video and didn't see any specific segment that would relate to your comment.

Solitude is AMAZING. But I need more snowbird videos. Try to film more snowbird videos.

i've been there last winter in January and I loved Solitude! Such a peaceful place. Watching your video is like a time machine, thanks for sharing!

Awesome vlog dude! Ski faster! Streightline them shoots!

Yep, we have both skiied Challenger. It is super fast and a lot of fun.
