I'm down with the APP! I used C6 APP prior to installing the Armour Pro Quartz on my car a couple weekends ago. APP went on seamlessly with a palm sander and wipe off was very easy as you mentioned. Application of the Armour Pro Quartz afterwards seemed to be pretty smooth as well so no ill effects in that regard. We'll see how everything holds up. Thanks for another great video Mike!
Thanks Mike. Can't wait for the next video. The APP and Hydro Lite coating are expensive. Why such a large bottle when you will only need a few drops for the car? I'm not a detail professional, just a guy with a hobby. It seems very wasteful to have to purchase that bottle when I'm only going to coat my car and maybe one other family member's car. Why not include a small tube in the coating package?
APP is primarily intended for C6 Pro installers, I think they have discussed doing smaller sizes but aren't currently setup for packaging that. A couple little ketchup type packets in the box would be perfect...but probably too expensive for them to setup for that.
I used it before applying C6 Hydro. It went on really easily using a dewalt palm sander with the brake removed. Almost didn’t feel like I was putting anything on but could see a slight haze as I went.
Humberto I agree. Yvan advised against the G8 in a live when he was throwing out the math of rotation distance. Even at 8mm it doesn't spin enough or something along those lines.
Fomo on this one, if this was available at the time I put on a coating I would have definitely used this system. That gloss level looks great even before the coating 🫡
Yes I will. I am looking to also try it on my brothers truck and whatever I have left I’ll use on this one. I also have the owner of the FJ that reached out to me and the trim is pretty hammered.
I'm married now, so I'm not down with OPP. I will be down with APP soon though, have it and a bottle of Hydro Lite (and some pads, PSD towel and the new low odor Iron Remover) getting delivered tomorrow.
I'd really like to see evidence of their claims that the APP does any type of correction at all. They want you to put it on really thin with a short stroke orbital and not work the area. Feels like they're trying to make you feel better about spending 40 bucks on a bottle of something that should just come as part of the kit in a 50-100ml squeeze tube.
So a 9mm is not ideal for it? That's the lowest i have, not in the market for buying a tool that i will not use (besides this) at all :/ Shame, as i would like to try it, hand applying is out of the question
@@MikeGDetailing Thnx Mike! In my country sandpalmers are like min 40$, and i bought my 21mm Vonroc for 55 so that why i was grumpy :) Really interested in this one, wonder how much more performance i can get from a coating using this vs Gyeon Primer and Essence
Mike G showing his face in this video 👍🏻
Go Mike! Glad to see you trying new video techniques in showing your face 🤙🏼
Thanks.

Thanks for posting up feedback. I have to try it with a different coating next and see how it holds up. You will be happy with ADS Quartz Pro.
The finish looks fantastic and wipe off was perfect! Can’t wait to see the coating go down 👏🏻
Yes it was super easy to work with. The gloss is as definitely taken up a notch.
@@MikeGDetailing Awesome! Glad to hear it 🤙🏼
Thanks Mike. Can't wait for the next video.

We are working on a smaller format. The C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP) as mentioned above was primarily designed for professional use.

That is awesome to hear.
Stopped in HF today. They have the Bauer palm sander for $14.99 this week starting today 6/7/24. Great video Mike. I see you're Naughty By Nature 🤣
Thanks. That is a great deal on it.
Also Griot's Garage G9 or Griot's Garage G8 since both are 9mm and 8mm throw

Great video Mike! The paint looks amazing!
Thank you.
Great coating system I wish it was sold as a kit.
That could be a good idea.

Looks easy! Can’t wait to try it.
Super easy. You will enjoy using it.
Mike are you going to use Restore Protect on the Transverse ?
Yes I will. I am looking to also try it on my brothers truck and whatever I have left I’ll use on this one. I also have the owner of the FJ that reached out to me and the trim is pretty hammered.
Interesting in ONLY using the app going on forward for any coating.

Mike, I wonder how many of your subscribers knew you back in the autogeek days???
That’s a good question. Now I’m curious.
Video of C6 Lite application soon?
Yes. On Tuesday.
Can you use a different brand's polish before using this or is it best to stick with DIY?
It would probably be ok to use another polish. Hopefully Yvan can chime in as well.
Yes, but in that case wipe down using DIY Detail Panel Prep before doing the C6 Ceramics Adhesion Promoter Polish (APP)
Thank you both for the replies.

I’m down with app and opp. You know me….
Someone who got the reference 👊

@@diydetailofficial took myself back to the 90's when this came out.
That's not an old Porter Cable. I've got a (working) 7424 non XP, the original.
I think my nearly 20 year old porter cable would beg to differ 😂
First!!!!

@@victoryensured7137 you can use 9mm like a Griots polisher.
