Surprisingly, the lines of Lia suit her a lot, that poppy r&b-like pre-chorus. She stood out to me. Especially when the beat goes hard and then it double-time and slows down to her, I felt that. Her tone and style really suit that pre-chorus. She slayed this era. The song gave her justice, unlike their other songs.

as a chaer stan i actually think this is such a great glow up from her lines in wannabe. one reason kpop songs are unique is because of how artists/groups are able to stamp their names in the song i.e. JYP (whisper), wonder girls, miss a, twice, stray kids, and now of course itzy (to name a few). as a chaer stan i actually think this is such a great glow up from her lines in wannabe. one reason kpop songs are unique is because of how artists/groups are able to stamp their names in the song i.e. JYP (whisper), wonder girls, miss a, twice, stray kids, and now of course itzy (to name a few). What better way to stamp itzy's brand on their title track than have their name "ITZY" booming in the chorus? i swear whoever thought of that was a genius and to have chaer do it is even more amazing! ♡
