thx - can't believe more people haven't seen this. i just picked up this older model with the 2 batteries this morning at a garage sale, new in the packaging, for $3.50 and this video showed me everything i needed to know.

I have the same scanner. works great. however, i have now lost the charger and don't know where to buy another one or what the model of the charger is
What can you do to get the best scan? I know that unless you move it straight and even you will have a distorted scan.
I know this is an older video, I live in a rural area where tech is bad so I got one of these to scan my artwork. Issue I have is it is not picking up pink colors. Pink looks white. Not sure how to correct this

can i scan any type of photo with this? can i scan a flat painted surface? for example if i wanted to scan a guitar headstock will this pick up the logo even though its not paper?

With this scanner you can scan any photpgraphy and any image if the surface to scan is flat.

This type of scanner is for those who need to scan documents in places where they do not have access to a scanner or electricity.
Due to the quality of the resulting documents, I consider that a normal scanner would be better.
@@photographyandmore thanks for the reply. I bought one to scan my written notes but the quality was not good. A smartphone with the camscan app offers better quality so I returned it. I would advice people to not buy such scanner it is a waste of money. Use your smartphone. It is better.

@@workforyouraims some smartphones have "document" settings with correction and good automatic cropping. The works very good.
But i didn't find a solution for scanning books, they are still curved.
What is the size of paper it can scan? What is the price for a new one? How can we get the output on a PC? What is the format of the output?
Can multiple pages be scanned and saved to a single .pdf file?
If scanning the book, does it turn to image or editable text?

The text is not editable since it only handles the output file format such as JPG or PDF.

i have a one supposed to be a Iscan and they sent me the wrong usb cable that plugs into the scanner they changed the usb port the one on the scanner is smaller and i can't seem to find a cable to fit it it works find no problems just can't plug it into the pc

It saddens me to know that, but if the scanner has the possibility to save the images in an sd memory, your scanner can still be functional.

Can it scan a book?

It is possible but you have to do it very carefully, it would be a lot of work if the book has many pages.
@@photographyandmore I just received and tried it, it does require VERY steady hands the documents came out wavy and distorted and corners chopped off and missing.
Good scanned ones felt like I'm try to balance myself with a pole on a string or something, very sensitive at 900 DPI and a bit better at 600 DPI and 300 DPI.
Thanks for posting this. Instructions with the product not very helpful and in fact misleading sometimes.
