What I love about "So say we all" was that it began as an improvised line that Olmos tossed out during Adama's major speech during the miniseries. It's right up there with "Make it so," if you ask me.
"good decision" "its a military decision" a man doesn´t regret the decisions he has taken in his life , he lives with them, every day" thats the top three the best decision was getting in to that show!!!! Edward James Olmos RULES
You aren't seriously implying that Star Trek is better right??? I've seen all of Star Trek, and I enjoy the series, but when someone turned me on to BSG I was blown away. Adama is a far more realistic, dynamic and stronger leader than Picard. This show oozes intensity, and realism in a way Star Trek could never touch. My brother put it best, "Star Trek is a world where the carpets are vacuumed daily."
no it's not. where'd you get your information? it was originally released in Canada, Europe and Japan but that hardly makes it Canadian. it was created and produced in the US. I'm Canadian and have never seen anything (especially from that time period) with that standard of quality... (7million$budget) research your facts before posting.
You've obviously never been in the military so please don't talk about how ships look on the inside. Star Trek is not realistic as far as character dynamics, or the pristine nature of the ships. You have no idea what you are talking about so I'm done talking about this. Also, its "from", not "form".
DS9 is far from the worst scifi show ever. It actually tackled many of the same issues as BSG, but being Star Trek it was far less gritty about it, and not nearly in enough depth. I think BSG is what DS9 tried to be insofar as checking in with tribulations of war, morals and humanity, but as the subject matter grew dark fans complained that it wasn't Trek, so they skimmed the fringes. That was a mistake.
*laughs* Why on earth are you using the opening of one series to define another? There's a reason they didn't use it. And you do realize the point of sci fi is to examine the human condition...which they did in spades. Some scifi are limited to a distant planet. Some to a space station. Some to mere ideas here on earth. I'm sorry, your argument as it stands doesn't hold weight at all.
Nope. Not buying it. The Star Trek intro says it all... ...to explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilisations; to boldly go where no man has gone before. DS9 was the EXACT OPPOSITE of Star Trek. They went NOWHERE. They didn't SEEK OUT anything. They didn't BOLDLY do jackshirt. They were the guest relations crew on a rock floating in space - the sci-fi equivalent of the Love Boat. Worst. Sci-fi show. Ever. An embarrassment to the franchise. Sorry - just being honest.
DS9? That was the worst sci-fi show ever - a shirt stain on Star Trek's good name. All it did was give credence to the Star Wars fanboys belief that their Walmart plush toy franchise was the better of the two series. BSG was the greatest sci-fi series ever. No comparison.

The man is a legend. And his character is one of the best.
You're not really a sci fi fan unless youve seen BSG so these "fanboys" against it are posers

I must admit, DS9 wasn't as intellectually nourishing for me as other Star Trek. Kind of a boring ambiance it had to it in general.
