  • Today we are in Ordesa and Monte Perdido, in the Pyrenees, looking for a carnivorous plant that lives in this area, the Pinguicula longiflolia. Let's see if we're lucky and find it. We are accompanied by Trufa, our canine helper.
We are going towards the Cola de Caballo and we hope to find the Pinguiculas in that area. The path is simple but long: 17 km round trip with 500 meters of positive elevation gain.
During the journey, we enjoyed a spectacular environment full of beech trees. In summer, this gets crowded, but today we practically have the path to ourselves. The climb offers beautiful views and we cross the Greenwich Meridian and several impressive waterfalls. Finally, we found the Pinguicula longiflora in flower, with its sticky leaves ready to catch insects.
If you come here, don't pick plants, enjoy the surroundings and leave nature as it is. We finished the day with 20 km traveled and immense satisfaction at having seen these natural wonders.
Until the next adventure, people! If you liked the video, leave me a comment and I'll see you in the next one. Let's be happy!
