love rpgs, love star wars, never played kotor before lol. think ill pick up the first one tomorrow. any advise for me? you get to create character/class/skills right?
thestew56 You can choose up to three classes, male/female. They are Scout, Scoundrel and Soldier. You also have to choose a feat in the beginning. These are abilities focused on combat. Armor included. You get force powers later, but after 3 hrs of gameplay in the beginning. You gotta earn it. lol Hope you enjoy it. I know I have.
Does it carry on from KOTOR1? I played and beat KOTOR1 for the first time about an hour ago and think it is the greatest game ever made (Even though Im playing it 12 years after release). I really loved the characters and I am hoping it continues from KOTOR1. Otherwise im not sure I should delve into KOTOR2 because that would disappoint me somewhat.
ever get the second game? i liked it more than the first and it is maybe my favorite game. if not, then deus ex is my favorite, which is pretty similar
What ruined the second game for me was the awful soundtrack. The first game was very atmospheric where as the second one sounded cheap and did not fit the game at all.
+Jacob Maxwell You just made that deal sound unappealing by just saying "plus other goodies." What he means is pretty much all of the Star Wars games on Steam for $22, unless I'm missing any.
your missing the tie fiighter/xwing games and a few of the star wars games were throw aways, and if you want the other games to run well you need to patch them to hell.
I have this game, but my copy has one of the worst bugs none to man. In Peragus, when your supposed to see the droid die and go back to your Jedi, It spawns the droid in the wrong place. I HATE IT!
The community is so fucking confusing about this game. Some say it's great and other's say it's terrible. Can someone give me an honest answer and tell me if it's worth it.
KOTOR II is a pretty solid fan mod. Interesting party members, blurs the line between good and evil, and tackles the themes of Last Jedi but way better. Unfortunately, this game was rushed so it lacks the polish of KOTOR. Unlike the previous game, planets don't have an abundance of interesting characters and side missions. There's a ton of backtracking and the prologue is quite tedious. That being said the good moments in this game are really really good arguably surpassing anything in the first game. It's just you need to wade through some boring and repetitive gameplay to get there.
My boy Greggy Casanova was my favorite reviewer back in the day. Damn I loved watching him give his takes.
He bailed out for some reason in 2007 and disappeared.
@@BladePocok He went on to become a developer. I'm pretty sure he is on the team that made Hades.

This game is about 29 hours in length almost as long as gta Andreas that's amazing

Is kotor really that good? I tried to play once but idk. Only played like 40 min tho.
When did gamespot hire Tom Green?
This game wasn't finished and is marred with technical glitches. 8.5 is a fair score.

Are you playing it on the Xbox 360? I know I have an original Xbox game or two that glitches up when played on my 360.
No. Original, but my brother found the disk and it works fine. Still has the infamous single frames sometimes though.
IM on PC. And character gets stuck after combat. You have to quick save and quick load to move on.
@@Jah_Babylon If on PC try limiting your frame rate at >= 75

FAILED REVIEW! THIS GAME DESERVES A 9.5
Xbox sucks. These 2 games belonged on PC from the start.
