Thanks for watching everyone! We had around two hours to film and record everything! Plus meet for the first time. So there are a few issues, but we just wanted to get this out there! We hope you enjoy it and please let us know your thoughts and what colour you’re getting!!! Huge thanks again to Tom/House95 for being so accommodating and getting involved in the video! I’ll hopefully be doing another Starcaster video soon with more tone tests!! Keep your eyes peeled!! Cheers, Sully P.s it DOES have treble bleed!
The cool thing about this guitar is that it will be fantastic for new wave/post-punk style music. The cleans sound incredible and the dirty stays pretty and clean. Plus…it’s got the offset vibe.
Yea I was leaning towards getting surf green because of its association with the enema area but once I saw the gold one on a few videos I’m not so sure anymore. The gold with the rosewood and rotated maple looks so good together
Starcaster seems most bright to my ears. Made the Strat sound a little dull which I’m really surprised about. Sustain seemed amazing on it too! Cool guitar!
Great video guys! Great job! The gold one looks epic! 🤘they all sound great in their own ways, which is cool if you’re looking for a specific sound that the others can’t offer as much. Two legends in this video!
Wait.. is it available to buy now? Biggest disappointment is the inlays.. really wanted the custom blink inlays if i was gonna buy one. Boo fender, do better.
@@davidjohnsully ngl still probably will buy it. Too nice not to. But I was really hoping for the inlays, even if they had a more expensive option with the inlays and a base model without. And I'd rather not get a knockoff neck from AliExpress but I get what your saying.
@@davidjohnsully well my boycott of fender over the inlays has been a long a tireless one, but it has come to an end. In other words I bought the damn thing...
I love my OG strat. A lot more than the reissue. But I do really love the Starcaster. But it could be because it’s new & exciting. Ask me again in a few months haha
Came here to listen difference between guitar models but heard almost identical sound produced by FX processor. I believe it’s better to stop using FX digital toys when making comparison of guitars or amps.
It’s not the 1980s. Yes, valve amps are cool. But a lot of modern artists are using profilers like Kemper, Stomp etc. Both Tom & Marks setups are using profilers. The important thing in my opinion is to use the same settings so it’s fair. And I did! I’m sure someone else might mic up an amp so there will be that comparison for those who want the vintage/analog tone test ☺️

I kinda like that the starcaster is less dirty, gives it more of a reason to buy ngl
Deffo more balanced for sure! 👌🏻
Wasnt super into the gold until this video. That looks incredible
🤝🏻

I like the TD 333 I have more than my TD Strat reissue, and I’m finding I’m going to be liking the Starcaster more too which kind of upsets me.
wow gold is sick!
Right!?
Honestly the Gibson sounds best to my ears, followed by the Strat.
Good job getting this video out and giving us the 3 tones.
My take: if you’re a fan of Tom & Blink, you’ll probably be happy to have one.
If you’re a Starcaster aficionado, there are way better choices.
Truly outstanding-great job!🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱
@@recreepy thanks! Really appreciate that 🖤
two legends! 🤩

Two legends in this video!
I picked up a pink one locally last night and it's so bad ass! I haven't put it down!
I bet! They feel and play amazing don’t they!!
how bruh
Super excited to get mines 🤘
They’re SOOOO good dude! You won’t be disappointed 🤘🏻
The Collab we was waiting for
It’s been long overdue haha❤
🎉🎉🎉
Great stuff, chaps 😎🤘
Thank you brother 🤝🏻🖤
Just bought the inlays from house of 95
Only two colors Tom always used during live the pink and white. For sure it sold out
He's been using the gold lately for Feeling This
The Gibson ES for me has the best tone due to that Dirty Fingers HUmbucker.
These are so blooming light. I'm not sure its a good thing the neck is the selling point for me as the body is just a squire!
Agree, Starcaster is the best signature . it has the mojo of both worlds of previous models.
Where to buy?
Yes. Lol yes it is imo
Do you like the pink as much as you thought you would? If gold didn't exist would you now get white over pink or is pink still your next pick?
I still do really like the pink! But white is killer too! If I didn’t have my Sam Larson build in the works, I might have gone for white haha
Want the gold so I can paint a racing stripe on it and emulate his 333
Would look so cool with the racing strip!!
Wait.. is it available to buy now? Biggest disappointment is the inlays.. really wanted the custom blink inlays if i was gonna buy one. Boo fender, do better.
You can get it right now!
You could always get some stickers to put on the neck so you have the smileys or a replacement neck 🤘🏻

@@Guitarnoob85 haha nice! What colour did you go for!?
@@davidjohnsully Surf green, it's a awesome throwback to the Blink era that started my love of music. Pretty excited!
Between the Starcaster and the Strat, which do you prefer?

How much is this?
Check with your retailer. It seems to vary!

Difficult to say as it’s all in the play. But aesthetically I love the Gibson more.
The Gibson’s were very iconic for sure!
@@davidjohnsully great to see Fender do this. Can't see listed where it's made, presume Asia?
@@Tethered_to_the_Polestar yup, in Indonesia 🤘🏻
@@davidjohnsully must've missed that, cheers. Which did you end up keeping?
@@Tethered_to_the_Polestar Tom kept the gold and raffled the pink. I ended up ordering a pink that came yesterday. Super happy with it 🤘🏻
1200 made in Indonesia and no hardshell case? Come on dude. The new Dave grohl has two USA pickups, better specs and a hardshell case.
Gibson sounds best. It’s all about the pickup. Do not buy another guitar, buy a pickup.
If you had told me 20 years ago that people would be paying 1300$ for a made in Indonesia "fender" ... well id be laughing in your face
