- We've been 3d printing a lot of short prints recently, but today, we decided to bring the original level of Super Mario Bros 1-1 to life through 3d printing and stop motion animation.

Do you know how long that would take, this one project took them 100+ hours so I wouldn't see them doing that.

This is an awesome animation and i know that stop motion takes a lot of time , patience and the power to not rage quit when you can't tie up the fishing line to the thing ur working with. Buuuut thats just my experience with stop motion and u probably know more about it.

You need to turn Kevin into 3D maybe even life sized
so much work for less than a minute of product, but oh so worth it

You’re gonna get so many subs. I, personally, like watching people make cool things more then watching them game. You could probably make cool feats of engineering on this channel like JLazer because of your engineering license. It feels really special because you're the only gamer I know with the power to make bridges, and I don’t mean in games.

I just found out about this channel today and I had no idea that Blitz like 3-D printing like me. I just think that's really cool
Mario actually only has 3 colors. The NES could only draw sprites with 3 colors. There are workarounds that can give the illusion of a sprite having more colors, but those weren't really used around the release of Super Mario Bros.

How about a round of clone drone the danger zone. U have some pieces already done. The attacking thing like projectiles may be painful. Don't wear urself out with this Blitz. Take your time with these big projects.

I actually had this idea about two days ago, and I'm making Mario voxel models kinda like this, but more accurate to the sprites.

the only thing that put me off was mario's colors, the overalls are normally red and the shirt is brown/green but other than it looked amazing

Had you printed the pipes upside down you wouldn’t need supports
Super Mario has an enormous flaw when made in 3D. The over world doesn't make sense that Mario would have to go in a straight light because the world isn't made that way. Think of the first Zelda how you can walk around things. The only Mario levels that makes sense are the under worlds, water worlds (if it's treated as a cave), bridges, castles, and maybe mushroom jumping levels. I'd just put those mushrooms in a zig zag pattern.
You switch the overalls and the shirt color
This kind of makes sense since blitz was an engineer so he probably know about modeling and stuff

Cool printing, the only things that slightly infuriate me is how (in the first half of the video) the small Mario sprite has a slight imperfection, and how in the 3D model, the overalls and shirt colors are wrong.
maybe a no oxygen included base 3d print for a next video
