You'll forgive a fan of 1980s Doctor Who for thinking that parts of the intro and credits were inspired by the Space Era of Doctor Who title credits... I love that.
To me, this is a case of “risk of saturation”. The Sam and Max games made money, no doubt. They could have made Sam and Max games until the cows came home. But would they be good? How many is just right before stopping? I wouldn’t want to live in a timeline where Telltale made too many Sam and Max games and ruined the franchise as a result.
