Santana is one of my favorite bands and this is marvelous. Another great guitarist with a unique sound. We can always recognize that it is Carlos. Afro-Cuban music. Afro-Caribbean. All good.

This was the slow dance song (along with Colour My World) in high school back in the 70's.

Hi Carlos, you may have already reacted to him, but perhaps you'd find "Inca Roads" by Frank Zappa interesting. It's a great piece, and I think there's quite a bit to get your teeth into ref. its' complex composition, arrangement - and of course Zappas' semi-improv. guitar.
And if you'd like to wander in a very different direction in the world of guitar music, there's lovely impromptu jam between two older Malian musicians and longtime friends, Boubacar Traoré & Ali Farka Touré - both playing acoustic. They play an old traditional song from Mali called, "Duna Ma Yelema". It's gentle, beautiful, kind of casual, and quite hypnotic.

Santana is the band’s name, Carlos Santana is the guitarist. You didn’t seem to understand that. Great song and album

There’s a couple of really good short songs off the Steve Howe Album that you will enjoy. Cactus Boogie and Diary of a Man Who Vanished. They are a little over 2 minutes each but really show off Steve’s skills in 1979.

Vietnam veteran friend saw Santana in Germany in 70. Said Carlos Santana never faced the crowd the whole show.
Everybody assumed he was tripping too hard and just couldn't...

Carlos Santana, David Gilmour and Joe Satriani become one with their guitars and it is their humanity which you hear not their technique. Music should move the spirit and theirs always does.

i cant believe that tin the comments people are mentioning dave gilmour and frank zappa in the same breath as this guy.. just endless tuneless noodling that any 15 year is capable of... only famous because he somehow got to play at woodstock..

Carlos had incredible tone and is well respected by all the greats. His name was the group's name but it seemed he let everyone stretch out and invited Neil Schon to join the band.
