Number 1 is the Darkest version of a heartless Lance who's been alone for all his life. Allura, Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Coran and Shiro, they all left him lonely and he has no Identity if he's the paladin of the blue lion or the red lion? And worse, he knows nothing, if he's a *lucky* cargo pilot or fighter pilot and he's not a sharpshooter neither a goofball, he's NOTHING, just a heartless void trying to be filled which will never happen.
How the hell is that last one #1? The "Lance birthday" one should've easily been #1. It took so much effort, talent and time to make that. I jived with that one so much. That last one was a friggin slideshow
That last video reminded me of an AU that I did a fanart for a while back. (Mini Spoilers?) It went like this: Lance, even back at the garrison, was always in the shadow of Keith. No matter what he did, who he met, he was always overshadowed and expected to be just like Keith. So once Keith leaves and Lance has to become the red paladin, being expected to fly the red lion as well as Keith did, Lance has a mental breakdown and uses the red lion's abilities to try and kill Keith. His mind set is, "Either I'm just the shadow behind Keith or I am Keith." Messed up right??? It's super dramatic. Plus this kills my Klance, But it is a really cool idea.

But then the fact that he is only there because he was a sub for Keith (brilliant, genius, perfect) Keith, is 24/7 being rubbed on his face. And Voltron happened and life happens, and then Keith leaves and Allura takes his place, who makes a better Blue Paladin than he (in his eyes) and he becomes a red paladin, or in layman's terms, Keiths replacement. Again. And Lance knew he would never measure up to Keith, no matter what he did. And then because of his persona as a outgoing, loud flirt people underestimate him, looking down on him including his own team. It might not be as obvious in the show but it's still there. And because the plot seems a bit skewed (try a lot, thanks, dreamworks!) Not only Lance gets less screentime and less character development in the screen, but also Hunk! Keith is on his own and though we like to think Voltron is a team and a family, that is not what is on the show. They separated. Divided, and definitely jaded as opposed as who they were from the first season. It's good, nothing wrong with plot and character development. It's war, yeah But they should have at least shown more Paladin bonding moments or something. Show Hunk's crippling anxiety. Pidge's point of view as the youngest paladin in search of her/their family. Lance self-esteem issues and homesickness. Keith's social awkwardness and yet the craving for a family he should have found in Voltron. Shiro's trauma. And even Allura growing up a bit, and being more considerate. Ugh. I dont know. I adore Voltron, and I love Klance. Kinda new to this show but I kinda jumped into the fandom after the first season, and now i am addicted. I adore all characters, even Lotor (a bit) but Lance and Keith hold a special place in my heart. Klance forever? Imagine my surprise and then rage after finding out that Season 2 and the others are supposed to have Klance, which makes Klance CANON but then Dreamworks intervened and said 'NO' to it, even to Shiro x Allura. Because if Allura's taken, who would have Lance's attention (rolls eyes). Ugh. I am not sure. Is this really true? Because if it is, i am going to lose it and flip this whole house 180 degrees...
