I was raised in Bandera. My mom was a waitress and her friend was a cook. After I got grown an left I'd go home and Daisy, the cook, would always make me macaroni and tomatoes. My favorite thing to eat even today. I'm 75 now and I have to fix my own now. Brought back some good memories. 😊❤

Momma taught me to boil my macaroni in with my diced tomatoes. Macaroni and tomatoes is one of those dishes that will pretty much go with anything and it's a comfort food.

We would cut up sweet onion an put in ours anyway that is how my mommy taught me an her Mother taught me her and most importantly had to have big pan of cornbread to eat with an to sopping up the good old mater juice with it! Love your videos.

Whoaaaa, I love macaroni and tomatoes! Haven't thought of them in a while, since my husband tries to avoid lots of carbs, but I'll have to make me some really soon. For whatever reason, I didn't think of that when I had tomatoes in the garden earlier, will have to try it sometime with fresh ones. When I'm out of canned tomatoes, I just use tomato sauce instead. I like it just a little thicker anyway. And it's kicked up a notch if you'll saute some chopped green bell pepper with your onion and then add cheese to the whole hot mess. You talk about some good eatin' !!! I've never added any sugar, though. Sounds good, and I'll probably try that next time I make it. Thank you!

my husband just said there's your dish lol I never added the bacon drippings but the tomato juice omg!!! have tis pretty regular and my mum would make a white gravy add boiled eggs , frozen peas over noodles , boiled, mashed potatoes, toast ...nice comfort food New England is where I grew up but these foods were out of necessity ....some of my favorites mum stunk cooking liver man she'd get that pain hot as the fire on the stove and put that liver in the pan it just screamed with pain!!! my some butter and sauté them

I like to have macaroni and tomatoes ( nicely buttered of course ) with delicious cornbread. So butter in the pasta and in the cornbread. My Mac and tomatoes is otherwise plain. I eat it like a stew.

Us too. Mom only made it with Creamettes, canned whole tomatoes smashed by hand, butter, salt and pepper. We called it grandmas spaghetti.
