The wall console shelving where the fridge is was where the old box tv's went. Thank god for flat screen tv's, such a space saver!! The Aus plugs were only added post covid shut down for the Aussie market as the Coral is now based there. We love the older ships and will be sad when this class and size of ship are gone. Well done on the cruise reviews I always enjoy watching your content.
Ahh, TVs - I didn’t even think of that - thanks SO MUCH for leaving your comment, or I’d never have known! Thanks for the feedback - I’m so glad people find the videos useful, and it’s not just me chatting a load of nonsense all the time! 😂
Hi Emma. We have a bath at home but only ever use it to wash the dogs so we don't really miss it. However, you do tend to get a bigger shower area with a bath so maybe........
Hi Fraser, very nice tour. :) The plugs on those upper shelves used to be for a tv on each shelf. When they put the new flat screen TVs up on the walls, that opened up those shelves for even more storage (we usually put our cameras on those shelves along with other miscellaneous items. :)
Ah, that resolves my confusion - I kept thinking about it and just couldn’t figure it out. Of course - this ship was sailing before TVs were able to be mounted onto a wall!
Subscribed! We booked a cruise on Coral Princess, and we have watched your reviews which are great! And I just noticed that the room D521 you have reviewed is the cabin which has been assigned to us 😂.
Hi Shane, thanks so much! Apologies that these vlogs are from my earlier days - I’m glad you enjoyed them! What a small world I’ve reviewed your exact room. Coral’s a beauty of a ship - have the best time!
At 4:41 you asked what people put on these shelves. Before flat screen TV's, Princess Mini Suites had old style tube TV's on the top shelf, one either side. That's why the vents are in the wall.
Loved my Mini Suite on deck 9 aft on the Coral in November! Having Elite status ,I got afternoon tea whenever I requested it in the morning & the tray went above the fridge & behind your complimentary bar. Cabins just the right size for a single woman, and you don't want your hairdryer where your hair will get ruined by humidity, but where you have good light for makeup. You don't need dust catching curtains either
Thanks for another fantastic cabin tour Fraser 🤩 Fun and informative as ever 😊 This is definitely a great looking cabin , we'd jump at the chance to have our own bath at sea! And the balcony is brilliant (even if it is overlooked). We reckon that those shelves are there for drinks and glasses, being so close to the fridge. That said our budget has never stretched this far so that is oure speculation on our part 😅
@@FraserAtSea That is awesome !!! Cannot wait to watch them - shall live through you🤣 until my next 1 in feb . Thanks again for the great content its so lovely to watch
Hi Fraser. The mini-suites certainly give you that bit extra room with lounge area. We like the extra room but difficult to justify the extra cost for us when we can put it towards another cruise. Having said that we loved our balcony cabin on the Coral and the Coral was a great ship to cruise on. Can't wait to get back on board again. Question for you though, how did you manage to get access to the mini-suite if you were staying in an inside cabin? We would love to be able to film other cabins when we cruise to show people.
Hey! I agree re the cost - as a solo cruiser, it’s out-priced for my budget currently. Who knows though - maybe one day…! Re how I got access, the cruise lines are generally fantastic with letting you see other rooms - I speak to Guest Services and see if there’s a way to get in. I’ve also previously met other passengers onboard who invite me to take a look, so no official ‘in route’ I’m afraid! Are you booked for Coral again then? She’s such a lovely ship!
@@FraserAtSea We would love to get back on the Coral but we are on the Carnival Luminosa on 6/11 (inaugural voyage) then Quantum of the Seas on 28/12, then Queen Elizabeth on 11/2 and back on Luminosa on 2/4. With work we just can't manage to fit another Coral in and then she's not in Australia again until the end of the year. We do have 2 cabins booked on the Luminosa - balcony and inside which is actually an obstructed ocean view. Ali couldn't get time off work so she told me to go on my own to do the video as it was the inaugural voyage and a good price. Then a couple of days later she got the time off work. It was actually then cheaper to book a second cabin (inside) than amend the balcony booking for both of us. Plus we now get to use 2 of our onboard credits of $900 each so we'll be trying out everything. We might try asking Guest Services if there are any of the others we can get to shoot some video if then. Thanks for the tip. Take care and I'm sure we'll talk again.
@@robandalicruisetravel oh, sounds like you’ve got SUCH a good few months lined up - I’m not jealous at all…!! Will be keeping an eye on your channel - hope you both have the best time!
That is very different from the new ones; doesn't seem as organized. Did my 1st mini on Discovery Princess in Alaska in September and loved it. Will be hard to go back to regular balcony. 🤣
Two Smaller Televisions were installed in the cupboard section above the refrigerator before the larger Televisions were installed flat against the wall in the mini-suites.

A bath on a cruise ship is the dream 😍
I’ve never been middle class enough to know sadly - my solo inside cabins don’t offer the luxury of a bath… 😂

Looks quite different from my Sky Princess mini suite! ❤
I thought it looked SO different to what I saw on Discovery and Regal Princess - was really surprised!
