Happy Birthday! You are in great spot right now, enjoy it. Don't rush things like family and kids, it's so important to do it with right person! Otherwise it can be emotional and financial mess for decades.

I don't know if this will help you at all, but to make a long story short, when I became a Christian, God broke me down into a shell of myself by using life experiences/circumstances to where it destroyed my ego. The old Psalm of "though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death"; believe me, I lived it. Not to say those times won't come again, but when I came out of the brokenness, I have a more humble, contrite Spirit within me, that He can use for His purposes. I don't mean that in an egotistical way, but in the sense of me saying, "God, do your work through me, and let me get out of the way."

I can relate so much to you as I’m also going into a new season of life. Just turned 36, going to go through a divorce and although I’m lucky to be with family right now, will be going on to being on my own for the first time. Was with my partner from 18 to 35 so it’s all new and scary to me.

Happy 34th birthday Stephie! I'm officially starting to study for the LSAT and aiming to take it next summer
I just turned 32 and I'm preparing to start over again going to law school. I used to also put unrealistic pressure on myself, expecting myself to be reaching a certain place in life at a certain age. But beating myself up leads to nothing but negativity, so I'm learning to reconcile with myself. You're so much more successful. You don't need to feel bad about yourself.

HBD! Thanks for sharing your journey. Watching you talk about how you change jobs makes me feel like it’s okay to move around. I’m fresh out of college and finished up the CPA and starting a new job. I was hoping to get some advice from you about what you think about me starting my career doing employee benefit plan audits and govt accounting during the off season. I just don’t want to waste my time if what I’ll be doing isn’t transferable to other areas of accounting if I want to move around in the future. Thank you❤
