Hey Everyone! I have a 2012 Ninja 650. A few things that I want to point out that Chase did not. For anyone wanting this bike but wants a bit more aggressive stance get Sport-Bars, they help immensly with that. Also this bike can not have a slip-on exhaust. You will have to do a full exhaust swap if you want to upgrade that. Just to note, the inability to put a slip on started with the 2012 and up versions of this bike. Lastly as Chase said this is an amazing first bike. It is my first one and I love it, as far as a commuter bike you easily get 60 MPG, but it has the ability to be comfortable in highway as well as nimble on back roads.
+SeacoastRide I love it when you guys that own this bike can chime in here in the comments! Really helps people get a full understanding of the bike. Thanks for the comment.
+SeacoastRide I owned the 2014 model and i loved it, i did trade it in for a 2015 r6 because it wasn't sporty enough for me though. I got loads of compliments on the bike though. I have to say after riding it about 4k miles i had an average of 42 mpgs. but i did ride in the city a lot.
crewd00d yes, the 60 MPG that I get is the fact that I do a lot of highway riding commuting to and from work, but yes the mid 40's in city is average. I probably will not upgrade for a while just due to the fact that since this is considered a Sport TOURING bike insurance is excellent and it satisfies all my current wants in a motorcycle.
I had one of these for over a year and it wasn't my first bike, It was more like my 6th or 7th bike haha but these bikes are a ton of fun! good on gas, good handling, SUPER comfy and lots of torque. Now my gf has a 650 also and she is in love (it's her first bike) =)
***** Ninja650 is better on gas and has more usable torque and also a million times more comfortable. The R6 makes its power at higher rpm's and has a faster top speed. Ninja650 gets about 50mpg and R6 gets about 40mpg
I would like to mention and brag a little... I just left the Mountain Motorsport dealer purchasing the very bike chase reviewed here in this video.... O.O
I been riding my 2014 Ninja 650 for and year and half just enjoy it. I'm 56yr old and I do more touring than sport and get an average 50 mpg, it has plenty of power for myself. I'm a short rider and this bike fits me prefit. It's very comfortable for long rides. I have thought about upgrading to a new larger bike but just think I can't give up my Ninja. Keep up with ur review I do enjoy watching them.....
I just bought this bike 2 weeks ago (first bike). I find this review VERY accurate and I truly believe this was an excellent/smart choice for my first. If anyone has any questions, I'll happily give you my first time rider opinions.
I remember watching this video when it was posted. Now I finally have a bike. this bike. It’s reliable, decently fast, not thirsty, and just really wants to do a good job and be a friend. It basically replaced my car for commutes.
Kawasaki launched the new Aluminum frame 2017 Ninja 650. They improved the gear shift linkage and new dashboard and seats. Requesting test ride please.
If possible, go for the 2017. Lots of improvements over the previous generation. However, either one will serve you well. Just go with whichever one is most affordable.
YoDatCHT glad to hear it! I'm STILL waiting for my dealer to get mine in. Ordered it two weeks ago now. It will be my first road bike as well. I'm pretty excited 👍🏻. Now if the aftermarket would catch up a little bit for parts/accessories....
+chaseontwowheels I know you're taking them for a first ride and that peoples real opinions are generally all gigity. That said I wish there was a road you could test these bikes on to give a real impression of them. Otherwise it's just a I still better just go out and ride this for myself type deal. Sarting up my channel this Spring. I'm also going to be test riding a 675R, Street Triple, RSV4 RR, and a RSV4 Tuono. I'm actually riding two hours to a dealer that is going to let me test ride these bikes. Me and my Ducati friend are going down to test ride these bikes.
I just bought a 2016 Ninja 650 as my first bike, and Im amazed how awesome its been. I really wish I bought it sooner, because here in Watertown, NY we shut down riding around late November due to heavy snow. Anyway, it allows me to make my mistakes and recover quickly. The more i ride the more confidence I get. I dont like how high I sit, but who cares, Id like a shift indicator but Im good.
I have been looking at this bike for about two months now. I have started saving for it already. Thank you for doing a review of it. it just made me smile ear to ear.
I just want to let you know Chase, that these videos you make are my inspiration for doing cinematic videos. I've always had a love for it and I think your videos are a perfect example of high quality work. Absolute wonderful job. Thank you for all your great content
Chase, I've been waiting for this one... I picked up a 2015 for my first bike and must say your review is spot on. I replaced the windscreen with a Zero Gravity Double Bubble and not only does it look much better but really helped with the wind protection. It's a do all kind of bike... Great job!
+WTF Richard senic on way there, straight shot back. was 70 something when I left washington, 106 when I arrived in california. 104 when I left. fully soaked my gear and shirt in water. it dried out in about ten minutes. quite the experience.
Badabing Bodaboom yes yes yes, or the 2018 cos it’s the same just different colors. Thinking of getting on myself and upgrading from my er6n. Would love chaseontwowheels review on it cos he covers all the things I want to know with a bike.
As a brand new rider I was pretty dead set on picking this bike up this weekend as my first bike. Your review definitely made it official. Can't wait to have one of my very own! Thanks for the video.
I'm riding a 650 from 2009 and I love it! Plenty of power and very comfy also for long journeys. With the Termignioni Exhaust it's also very naughty and unique sounding!
I own this bike (with the abs 2015) and have had it as my 1st bike for 9 months. Not regretting the choice at all, such an easy bike to ride, I've done a few long distance rides on it and felt comfortable the entire way.
My first bike was (and still is) a 2009 Ninja 650 and I absolutely love it. I've had it for over 2 years now and I'm so glad I didn't start on a 300 or even a 500. This bike has a lot going for it IMO. It runs super well, gets great gas mileage, and has a decent amount of torque (when you're in the right range) which keeps it fun. It's also great in the twisties and it wasn't very expensive at all. I put sport bars on mine shortly after getting it to get a more aggressive feel, and to be able to more easily tuck behind the wind screen when commuting on the freeway without hurting my wrists (the stock bars leave your hands in a weird bent position when you tuck - at least for me anyway). Apart from that though, it's bone stock and it's fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone as a first bike.
Great review, C2W. I have a 2014 Ninja 650 ABS and I've been in love with it since I bought it. It's the bike that, in part, has allowed me to start motovlogging. The bike is sporty enough and I've seen people bring the bike to the track. Also, the windscreen has 3 adjustable positions.
I'm currently riding one on my A2 license (UK) and I love mine. The bike sounds a million times better with a good pipe on it, I'd say it's pretty much mandatory with a bike like this. It's got enough power to be safe when overtaking but it's not going to blow your face off. I'd easily recommend it to anyone doing their A2. If you think the black looks good you should see the green, I saw the green and instantly purchased the bike.
I just bought a 300 (1 week ago) but then but the bullet and lost money for depreciation and traded it for the 650. I really haven't had a chance to open either one up because they were brand new and not broke in, but the 650 seems far faster. The difference is when you are on a highway, the 650 does 75mph quite easily where the 300 was up in the RPMs. The 300 had a more sporty feel, it was like you were laying on the handlebars, the 650 is more of an upright feeling (not too much pressure on the wrist). The 300 handled better (lighter) and it was the awsome green, whereas the 650 is black with the green shock. (they didn't have a green 650) I have to be honest and let my vanity show, but I am currently living in the Philippines, and ninjas here or like Ferraris in America, very few people have ninjas, and everybody is jealous and loves the way they look. I think the main reason I traded in my ninja 300 was the cause I was afraid that someone was going to think, "oh, it is just a 300". I know that is stupid to spend that much money just so I can say "it's the 650!", but that is how I am, I am stupid. And no, I will not be buying the Ninja 1000, there is absolutely no place in this country you would ever be able to take advantage of it. In fact the 300 is more than enough bike for this country, like I said I just traded it in for a status thing.
No need to feel bad we all want to impress people on the road. It's apart of the culture why else to modify cars and bikes. We're all superficial and love validation from one another. Just don't let it go to your head.
How do you like living there. I was born there, but moved to the states when I was 5. I’ve visited a couple times and you’re right, ninjas are like luxury over there. With everyone owning 150cc bikes, those become the civics and corollas. I understand your view tho, sometimes you want to stand out from the rest of the group. Nothing wrong with that as long as you’re not going overboard with it. Stay safe
its almost the same condition here at indonesia, in my place, displacement above 250cc is rare.. and a ninja 250 (300 globally) itself is already a rarity too. So owning a 650 is like a god tier motorcycle.. until a yamaha r6 pass through and ruin my day..
I bought a 2012 Ninja 650 as my first bike. I've had it for 4 years now and I love it. I commute on it almost everyday and have put about 20,000 miles on it. I didn't really get the urge to get a new bike until about a year ago. That may be due to the fact that I didn't start riding until I was almost 40 and I am not a super aggressive rider. Everyone is different but I think this is an excellent first bike! For those that are asking about this bike or an FZ07 as a first bike, I have ridden an FZ07 and I think either one would make a great first. They have similar power and seating position. I personally prefer the Ninja for the way it feels but I like the looks of the FZ07 more. I only road the FZ07 for 1 day so I might be slightly biased. I am looking at getting either an FZ09 or the new XRS900 for my next bike. Keep making these great bike reviews and please review the XRS900 as soon as you can get your hands on one!
Ive always wanted a Ninja.. preferably higher than a 250 or 300 as the videos ive seen they dont have any power.. Im 18 and have been wanting a bike for years but have never really known what a good starter bike was but the ninja's have always been in mind just because i love the way they look.. YOU SIR.. have sealed the deal.. im gonna go get a ninja 650 when i get the money B)
Thanks for doing a FR on my bike! I've been on mine (2012) for almost 2 years. My 650 was my first sporty bike after starting on a cruiser (V-Star 1100) and I still love it!
HOLY FUCK THATS SWEET! Its half naked, half super sport and it looks INSANE. I love the huggable belly tanks on bikes my little 125cc has it, it gives you so much more controlabilty whilst riding as you can use your legs to help lean the bike.
I had one of these as my first bike (2009 650R). Could not recommend them enough. Incredibly easy to ride with lots of low end torque. Seriously. Great bike
I have a 2007 650r and these bikes really wake up with a few mods, like exhaust and a tune, incredibly comfortable and fun to ride. Great bikes all around not just for beginners either.
I have a ninja 650/er6f I've had it 18 months and still love riding it... It's all the bike I will ever need... I have a scorpion sports can on it and it sounds awesome.
+spongebob swag pants the only problem with 250s and 300s is that they won't last you. They get boring after a few months. This 650 will last at least a few years
Thanks for the review, it solidified my choice on purchasing one. I'll be buying the 2017 kawasaki 650 abs model. Never had a bike before. Looking forward to a lot of fun.
I have a 2015 Ninja 650 and it's a hell of a lot of fun. I only have 1,400 miles of experience and the power of this bike is completely manageable. I almost bought a Ninja 300 but I would recommend the 650 over the 300.. I'm so happy I went with the 650 as riding for an hour plus on the hwy is very comfortable and there is no lack of power.
nice overview... although I do not like the 'sewing machine sound' of the parallel twins, Kawi really did a great job with the 650 since its inception.. and it should be considered as a starter bike that you can grow with... Im almost positive the windscreen is adjustable.. think its manual.
Im not sure what sewing machine sound youre talking about? At idle? I put a full system on mine and it sounds mean. & Yes windscreen is adjustable by the 4 bolts in it I think. Might need removed then you can adjust the bracket.
Thanks for the review. I bought this exact bike (brand new 2015) about 3 weeks ago. In fact I think I bought it from the same dealership. Mountain Motorsports in Lithia Springs Ga. Anyway, I've had a bunch of bikes through the years, and I think I like this one the best. I live in the North Ga. mountains where all of the great motorcycle roads are, and this bike is not a slouch in the curves. FYI the windscreen is adjustable. Thanks again.
Thanks Chase, this is the video i waited for to tell me i'll make a good choice to start again on a bike, you have to know it's been 25 years i stoped motorcycilg after a bike accident, i took a motorcicilng lesson to finally enjoy it again. let's hope i will go down there to meet you and other motovlogger.
Hi Chase, I owned this bike. The windscreen is adjustable, so much of the wind noise and buffeting can be cut down when in the high position. I got this bike when getting back in to riding after a 20 year break and absolutely loved it. I think you review was right on the money, great bike for a newbie and/or returning rider. The "owned" part? I traded up to a 2014 Ninja 1000, now THAT is a bike!
+jorden 2709 The INTERCEPTOR! I'm thinking about getting one for some light touring. I love bags on a sporty looking bike. I have a '07 gsf1250 bandit S, but want something more aggressive looking.
Yes please, on 2014 or 2015...I was interested in the 2007, red one at the Conyers location, but the dollars were too close to getting a new 2014 model...
I bought a 2015 Ninja 650-ABS back in like, June of last year. I had no riding experience besides my Motorcycle course. This bike is the Perfect beginner motorcycle. Just dont make the mistake of buying your first bike brand new like i did. i ended up selling the 650 and buying a 2006 636 after learning.
Picked up a "new" 2014 model little more than a week ago for my first bike and I love it so far. Checked out your review before my purchase. So Thanks Man.
Mohit Pratap Singh go for the ninja. if its ur 1st bike I'd say go with which ever1 u like both pretty much has the same statistics. I rode a cbr600 a few times and it just didnt have the power i was looking for. It nvr really gave me the pull i wanted so id personally got with the ninja 650 but both r great bikes
yeaa.. i will go for ninja but will wait till next year coz 2017 ninja 650 derive its design from zx-10r with some considerable changes as well.If u have some time check it out .. its going to be best in its class.
Hes doing a bike review so talking is needed. Also there are a bunch of cuts in the video so im assuming any pauses in talking are cut out... but what do i know -.-
Fz6r all day... i picked that over this bike despite no abs. Im 6'3" and the position my legs were in with the fz vs. the position of the ninja made my final decision but ultimately ive ridden both bikes and i liked them both. The fz was a little more sporty but still a good commuter. The wind protection sucks for taller riders unless you go aftermarket. If my legs werent so long i probably would have went with the ninja for abs option but the fz is my favorite bike that ive owned.
you messed up your u-turn on the gsx it looks like you started to turn around when you were still a couple feet from the actual side of the road in the video. then you went up the drive way at the other end by a couple feet.
I've got the 2010 model 650 and it's an amazing bike! It's sporty but comfy and the same time. Perfect combo honestly. Going on a 1000 mile trip here soon with it. I would suggest it to any new rider.
Love that you are reviewing this bike, my second bike and I have the 2016 model. Not called a Ninja in Britain though. Had it since November and love it so much, you can adjust the screen, there are 3 adjustments but I find they are all the same. Ride safe man
0:11 OMG an experienced rider suggesting a 650 as a learner bike?! What is this?! I think I will start on this one. I've heard from a lot of riders that the 250s and 300s are too weak and easy to grow out of. So imma save me some time and money and go straight for the 650 and just take it easy :) haters come mehhh XD
Em_ily I got a ninja 300 with zero experience and I learned in a week. the best thing about the Ninja 300 is its nimble and so much fun to ride. I do agree though your eventually going to want more power.
First of all my first bike is a ninja 650 2009 And well at the start you need to take it easy after all its a 650 cc engine but once you get used too it youll love it
personally i started on a 500. im 6'2 and 260 but i didnt have just a 500 i had a vfr interceptor. its about Katana 600 pace. it was not a normal 500 like you think. its not just about cc's when finding a motorcycle. its about finding what works best for you. get what you want and never forget to respect it. 200cc or 1800cc they all try to kill you sometime.
I heard the same, they say the 250/300 you will outgrow them fast. My father has a 2007 suszki. 1000 and he wants to give it to me but I don't have any experience with bikes
Thanks for this review, i watch your reviews often and enjoy them a lot. But this time, special. You are driving "my bike" and i love the way it surprised you. On the highway 6th gear is chill mode. Drop 2 gears to catch up traffic "fast". When about to enter a tunnel, drop 3 gears. And that with another exhaust ofcourse for most fun. Keep up the good work.... Greetings from The Netherlands.
Same. I got a wr250r in August but don't have a plate yet, parents wanted me to wait. Getting ninja 650 in May as a birthday gift to myself for my 20th... Super excited. (Found an amazing deal on a 17 krt and got it early.. It's incredible.)
+oSirSniffleso heck yea I just don't like it I have an r1 now and started off on an old ninja 250 before they changed to the sport look the ones that still had the handle on the back of it and it had that style and I just wasn't a fan is a nice bike though can't complain too much XD
Very accurate video. Stock exhaust is pretty quiet in low-mid RPMs but it does get loud opened up. Sounds excellent with a full system. Its a great beginner bike if the rider is going to be safe and mature.
This was the best review I've seen and best energy. I loved the little videos of the bike in the start that was also one of the best you've done. And on top of all that I really wanted to see a review of this bike and this was awesome only makes me want to get the bike even more now.
Fantastic bike. My first bike and a lot of fun. Enough power in low mid range for traffic.Bike feels like my mountain bike so easy to handle , move .I love this bike , thank you for the review.
+shin888 I hate when people start mixing and confusing terms. "Engine braking" is the retarding force you feel when the engine is running, the bike is in gear, and the throttle is closed. ANY TIME you close the throttle while moving (assuming you aren't pulling the clutch) you're going to feel engine braking. It's unavoidable and isn't going to have any negative effect on your engine. Now, that's somewhat contrasted with people who downshift repeatedly, and use this force along with slipping the clutch to get the bike slowed. But again, assuming you're properly rev-matching your downshifts, you're not going to be doing anything substantially detrimental. Also, even while braking, you're going to be doing something similar unless you're one of those people that just pulls in and holds the clutch the entire time you're slowing to a stop. I'm not attacking you here, but I'm literally blown away by all the myths and old-wives tales that persists in the car and motorcycle community when it comes to how one is properly supposed to operate one. At very least, it would be nice is someone would put forward some kind of actual evidence, or at the very least, and decent explanation of HOW all this damage is going to be occuring.
+shin888 Engine braking does not hurt the engine what the hell kind of drugs have you taken to think it does? You know how you destroy an engine? When you attempt engine braking and have no idea what you're doing. So when you downshift and let off the clutch your engine revs to redline. That's how you destroy an engine. If you know what you're doing which it isn't very hard. You can engine brake perfectly fine with nothing going wrong with your engine. Seriously learn to ride before you try to spew out false facts.

I was already considering buying this as my first bike, and this video makes me want it even more. I'm extremely excited now. great video! keep up the good work!
Awesome review. I bought a 2014 Ninja 300 when they first came out as my first bike, new rider and all. I was really interested in this bike as well. When I decide to get a second bike, this would probably be my choice.
Love my Ninja 650... I put on a bigger windscreen and some saddlebags and it's an awesome commuter. It's got plenty of power for the freeway while being controllable at low speeds in the city.
Your reviews give a complete overview of the mobile in a fun way including give the bike a bit of stick and there corner ability. Anyone can watch this and have a really good idea how the bike does everything before they invest in one. Great review.
The good turn in is helped by the rear tyre which is 160/60x17. That's why the it feels nimble on the move and heavy when pushed (because it is 211kg wet)
I started on this bike! 2011 model! I cant recommend this enough for beginners! :D Its actually so much fun. its quick when you need it, Also you can push your butt back into the seat for a leaned in feel when at the Track!

+SeacoastRide same for me and my 2014 650. but some liter ropes would be nice
I had one of these for over a year and it wasn't my first bike, It was more like my 6th or 7th bike haha but these bikes are a ton of fun! good on gas, good handling, SUPER comfy and lots of torque. Now my gf has a 650 also and she is in love (it's her first bike) =)

I'm going for my first bike and I think the 300 isn't going to be enough for me for long. Should I go with the 2016 or 2017 650 abs?
If possible, go for the 2017. Lots of improvements over the previous generation. However, either one will serve you well. Just go with whichever one is most affordable.
I got the 17 650! Love it. There is no way the 300 would have kept me happy for long. Main thing was that there simply wasn't enough power.
YoDatCHT glad to hear it! I'm STILL waiting for my dealer to get mine in. Ordered it two weeks ago now. It will be my first road bike as well. I'm pretty excited 👍🏻. Now if the aftermarket would catch up a little bit for parts/accessories....
Great review. Much better than past ones. Keep em coming just like this.
Thanks man. I thought it came out pretty good too!

I rode my 2009 Ninja 650 from Sacramento to LA(500+ miles) and back in one weekend. Its a solid traveling bike for a sport bike at least.
I did Seattle to Fresno. after I broke it in. was definitely solid. 19 hours straight
+ThrustMonkey Nice way better than a car in terms of long boring solo rides right
ThrustMonkey damn! Must have been a nice ride though. Did you take the scenic route or just straight shot on the freeway?
+WTF Richard senic on way there, straight shot back. was 70 something when I left washington, 106 when I arrived in california. 104 when I left. fully soaked my gear and shirt in water. it dried out in about ten minutes. quite the experience.
+WTF Richard The ninja650 is more a sport touring bike than a sport bike, so it is made for longer ride than a regular sport bike.
hey please review the 2017 ninja 650 it is like a major improvement over 2016
Badabing Bodaboom yes yes yes, or the 2018 cos it’s the same just different colors.
Do you still have it ? Does it ever get boring ?
I'm riding a 650 from 2009 and I love it! Plenty of power and very comfy also for long journeys. With the Termignioni Exhaust it's also very naughty and unique sounding!
+J.M.H. I had the same one but with a Yosh slip-on. Fantastic bike. Enjoy!
I own this bike (with the abs 2015) and have had it as my 1st bike for 9 months. Not regretting the choice at all, such an easy bike to ride, I've done a few long distance rides on it and felt comfortable the entire way.
That bike definitely deserved this good review. One of my top 3 bikes for beginners.
What are other other top 2?
Great review! My first bike was the Ninja 650 (2013) and I absolutely loved it. It great for taller riders as well. Great bike to learn on.
I had the 2013 Ninja 650 ABS as my first bike, I knew I was going to enjoy this episode!
Chad Hero the new 650 looks really good and it's lighter too
How do you like living there.
Seriously. Great bike
It's my first bike and i think it's great. Corners well and controlled power. Love to see you do a review of the ninja 1000.
I have a 2007 650r and these bikes really wake up with a few mods, like exhaust and a tune, incredibly comfortable and fun to ride. Great bikes all around not just for beginners either.
I'm 5 foot looking for a starter bike 🙈 I'm so happy you made this
@@angelhunter4414 bruh that was posted 3 years ago u thirsty
I have a ninja 650/er6f I've had it 18 months and still love riding it... It's all the bike I will ever need... I have a scorpion sports can on it and it sounds awesome.
that is exactly what I am looking for in a bike. Cant wait to start riding
Idk if i should get this or the 300,for first bike
+spongebob swag pants If you've never been on motorized two wheels, 300. If you have, this bike is perfect
_ shikame _ yea. Imma start on a cbr 250.just cuz they're cheap af
+spongebob swag pants the only problem with 250s and 300s is that they won't last you. They get boring after a few months. This 650 will last at least a few years
Started riding last year on a 2013 of the same model! It was a great bike to start on!
Thanks for the review, it solidified my choice on purchasing one. I'll be buying the 2017 kawasaki 650 abs model. Never had a bike before. Looking forward to a lot of fun.
the_ morbidus u like it?
6:07 its like bruh bruh bruh BROOOOOOOOUH
Best review video I've seen. I go pick up my 2015 Ninja 650 abs this Friday and this made me even more excited! You've gained a subscriber my friend!
"it's got so much room! Dude, you could pack a sandwich!"
lol.....
Very good Bike for beginning! I Ride the Er6n '16 and I'm very happy about it! 👌🏼
So this is basicly the ER6-F, but just marketed as Ninja in 'murica?
+Taltsi Yes it's the ER6-F in Europe
Yeah...and it comes with a sword.
+accorden in America with a gun? :F
+xX12VincEXx Nah, it just cuts your head off.
accorden Nice!
I have an ER6F as my first bike. Loving it so far.
Could you please ride a S1000RR D:?
Hi Chase, I owned this bike. The windscreen is adjustable, so much of the wind noise and buffeting can be cut down when in the high position. I got this bike when getting back in to riding after a 20 year break and absolutely loved it. I think you review was right on the money, great bike for a newbie and/or returning rider. The "owned" part? I traded up to a 2014 Ninja 1000, now THAT is a bike!
Any chance you can review the 2017 Ninja 650? That would be awesome! :D
I like the overlays in the beginning! Keep the reviews coming Chase, they're much appreciated!
anyone else remember the first time you rode a 125 and though, fk this is fast!
First bike I rode was a 250
nsr 125, thought I was breaking the sound barrier😂
Yup 😂
Already determined this will be my first bike i buy i love it
Can u do a honda vfr 800 vtec review plz???!!!!
Youre videos are very good! Can you do a video of the Honda CB 650 F?
my first bike. have had it for a couple of months now. love it. thanks for the recommendation!
can you do a review on the new 650 ? 2018 or 2019??
Agreed!
Picked up a "new" 2014 model little more than a week ago for my first bike and I love it so far. Checked out your review before my purchase. So Thanks Man.
can you do a review on the kawasaki vulcan s
Picked up a 2017 Ninja 650 for my first bike 2 months ago. LOVE IT!
i am really into buying a 650 .. but in dilemma to buy ninja or honda cbr650f ...please suggest.thnx
I'd go for the ninja. the honda cost a lot more for i think about the same options.
Just bought a brand new 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 650 today! Picking it up on Thursday!
How in the hell can a man talk so freakin much Jesus christ he must have 3 sisters lmao
Hes doing a bike review so talking is needed. Also there are a bunch of cuts in the video so im assuming any pauses in talking are cut out... but what do i know -.-
Its called a Bike "Review".
I love that MMS. There's a guy there that's sponsored by Yamaha and he is so helpful and full of information.
Soooo...if you had to pick THIS or the FZ6R...?
Fz6r all day... i picked that over this bike despite no abs. Im 6'3" and the position my legs were in with the fz vs. the position of the ninja made my final decision but ultimately ive ridden both bikes and i liked them both. The fz was a little more sporty but still a good commuter. The wind protection sucks for taller riders unless you go aftermarket. If my legs werent so long i probably would have went with the ninja for abs option but the fz is my favorite bike that ive owned.
Hands down best review on this bike. 2015 ninja 650 was my first bike inspired by you and some others. Perfect first bike and great video!
Yo Chase! If you had to buy one, which would you choose between the Ninja 650 vs FZ-07?
FZ-07 hands down!
you messed up your u-turn on the gsx it looks like you started to turn around when you were still a couple feet from the actual side of the road in the video. then you went up the drive way at the other end by a couple feet.
i was wondering the same thing. I'm stuck between ninja 650,fz-07 or vulcan s. leaning towards fz-07. thing sounds sick with a M4
I've got the 2010 model 650 and it's an amazing bike! It's sporty but comfy and the same time. Perfect combo honestly. Going on a 1000 mile trip here soon with it. I would suggest it to any new rider.
"Why, motorcycle dealers, why?"
Em_ily I started on a ninja 650 and highly recommend it if your new to riding.
Greetings from The Netherlands.
im gonna get one in august gonna be my first bike im 19
Patriots I am as well. hype
Patriots Did you get one?
Same. I got a wr250r in August but don't have a plate yet, parents wanted me to wait. Getting ninja 650 in May as a birthday gift to myself for my 20th... Super excited. (Found an amazing deal on a 17 krt and got it early.. It's incredible.)
I'm going to get one also I'm 12
got a 2009 model and i love it
with an aftermarket exsaust it sounds like a beast roaring (loving the twin cilinder sound)
first bike huh?
hahaha we are stuck on 125cc for two years here in england
Great review. I have a ninja 650 and It is the most fun of all the bikes I have owned. The windshield dose adjust .
#C2WFR Honda CBR650F.
LOVE THESE INITIAIL SCENES!!!!! SO MUCH QUALITY
I personally think that's the ugliest handlebar set up it needs to be the actual sport look not like a 250
Its designed to be a sit up bike so its comfy, having the handlebars low down would defeat the object.
You can buy replacements that both lower the riding position and is more of a supersport style. Just search "sport bars" when looking for 650 parts
+oSirSniffleso heck yea I just don't like it I have an r1 now and started off on an old ninja 250 before they changed to the sport look the ones that still had the handle on the back of it and it had that style and I just wasn't a fan is a nice bike though can't complain too much XD
I love modercycles
250 have pseudo clip on I think not handlebars, at least my gfs 300 does
Very accurate video. Stock exhaust is pretty quiet in low-mid RPMs but it does get loud opened up. Sounds excellent with a full system. Its a great beginner bike if the rider is going to be safe and mature.
ber ber ber bruuuuhh
This was the best review I've seen and best energy. I loved the little videos of the bike in the start that was also one of the best you've done. And on top of all that I really wanted to see a review of this bike and this was awesome only makes me want to get the bike even more now.
That 650 looks like a 300
That's totally not true dude lol
+xxFUnCK off the bike = no
on the bike = yes a little bit
+Dario Trejo That's totally like your opinion man lol
+xX12VincEXx Well, it looks like a 300 off the bike cuz of the weird handlebar in my opinion
I agree. I was t this shop yesterday and it looks like a 300 in person.
Fantastic bike. My first bike and a lot of fun. Enough power in low mid range for traffic.Bike feels like my mountain bike so easy to handle , move .I love this bike , thank you for the review.
You shorter people!...... What do you mean you shorter people?......... What you got a problem with midgets bro?....... ;) j/k ...
+JoeGo101 im 5'1 :(
+waytoosexy I'm 6'4 :(
I’m 5’8 :(
happy to say i finally purchased a new 2016 ninja 650 with abs green/white color. pick her up friday. cant wait!!!
She's solid. My only meh. Is the exhaust. But that won't stop me. It's just how chase described. Spot on
its been fun. its my first bike. i picked it up super fast. if its your first. you'll like it
I would suggest not engine breaking all the time, brake pads are cheaper than engines.
Lazy people prefer engine braking.
why should you slow down with the brakes, vs engine.
+Mevlinous Engine braking does not hurt the engine what the hell kind of drugs have you taken to think it does?

the 2010 650 was my first bike and I have to say it was so perfect for me. A 250 would have been far too small.
650 rocks... So comfy and has really decent power... great first ride.
Man you're killing me. Looking to get one of these when I finish my masters.
I was already considering buying this as my first bike, and this video makes me want it even more. I'm extremely excited now. great video! keep up the good work!
This bike sounds great with a two brothers exhaust! I have a 2014.
I have the same bike, got it about a month ago as my first ever motorcycle, it’s awesome!
Thank you so much for doing a first ride on this bike! I was already pretty set on this bike and this sold me on it even more!
I started on this bike! 2011 model! I cant recommend this enough for beginners! :D Its actually so much fun. its quick when you need it, Also you can push your butt back into the seat for a leaned in feel when at the Track!
