@MrSarbgill
What a bizarre and stupid comment to make. People over 60 are the only ones to remember these old adverts? What utter crap. I'm now 19 and these characters were nearly always present in every ad break I can remember from the 1990s. In fact, I'm glad they're back - so much of what passes for TV (and I'm talking about advertisements AND programming) nowadays should not even be allowed out of the ideas room, and these characters are a throw-back to when TV was actually half-decent!
Unbeleivable listen to the ad the cartoon swears "Gina" says "chuffing hell where are we?" lol chuffing is a well known euphamism/slang term for "fxxxing" so Ginas actually saying "fxxxcking hell where
are we?" lol lol who ever signed this off won't be working too long at tetley as it was meant to return of these figures and £9mill campaign "chuffin hell 9mill lol"
Put them back in the wardrobe! Can't be doing with those accents!
Like I said these characters are a joke who the hell can relate to names like Gaffer, Sydney, Clarence, Gordon, Maurice, Archie, Tina as a bunch of people unless your an oap, they should never have been brought back why not bring back Golly on jam jars then it amounts to same thing a real stupid idea.
Why not bring back love thy neighbour or mind your language while they're at it these old farts at tetley are not current at all and hardly going to bring in new customers of all ages kids won't relate to them, teenagers won't , unless or like over 60 this cloth cap brigade are not current or relevent in modern marketing - a joke sooner they go back in cupboard the better.
Rubbish I'll tell you why.....
So boring
