What about income tax point of view for fixed deposit? I have 20 lakhs i want to keep fixed deposit on my mother name and my mother is a home maker . How to avoid tax on interest income????
If she is falling in tax limits interest on fd TDS will be deducted you can get it back after u file IT returns or if she is having other incomes you have to pay tax on fd interest

@@rajeshjadala4926 then open fd on her name in different bank accounts instead of single bank u can split into 4 accounts each 5 lacs if bank deducts TDS on interest u can get it back by filing IT return by year end or u can submit 15G or 15H ti bank to get TDS exemption
