Decade old fashion ‘old money’ isn’t coming back. It was always there. Comfort is king - regular fit trouser, linen, cotton, basic colours etc. It’s always good to stick with classics and save money by not following fashion. Influencers RUclipsrs will ask you to follow fashion because that’s their content. Choose wisely!
I’ve known about COOFANDY for years now and their quality is the real deal. I love every single shirt I own from them Also, baggier looks are unflattering for the most part. There are only very particular instances, in my opinion, when it works. Fitted will always look good. Not skinny, fitted.
Well said, fam. The only thing that I can add to this is when shopping, especially online, if you're wanting fitted/tailored/tapered leg, then you should still select skinny. Not slim or anything else. Get the skinniesst pant they have. Here's the thing. It's a matter of semantics. Language. What most brands call skinny ISN'T TRULY skinny. It's just the best fitted. If you wanna read on for a longer, more detailed analysis, I'm "The Writer Guy", and here's a deeper dive into buying pants with some Pro Tips included: . Don't worry about "too skinny". Nobody's selling the SO SKINNY/painted-on/cutting your nuts nutsack into a camel toe level skinny anymore. Nobody's selling them bc nobody is or would be BUYING them in 2023. Trust me, if you're thinking, "Oh, I don't wanna get skinny, I'd better get the next cut up from that", then you're gonna be disappointed bc you're gonna find their "slim" or whatever they call their next bigger cut above their skinny to be way too baggy, not enough taper in the leg, and too wide of a leg opening. Which brings me to this little Pro Tip: Leg opening measurement. Usually in the description of the jean/chino/suit or dress pants that you're considering, they'll give the measurement of the leg opening. Why this is important is that the leg opening determines the level of taper that the pants leg is gonna have. Think of it on a "bottom up" way rather than "top down". Our eyes usually start at the thigh and work their way down to the knees, the calf, and finally, the bottom of the pants, or the "break", where the bottom of the pant hits. Just at/over your shoe = no break. Anything longer that needs cuff or HAS a sewn cuff, and falls over the top of your shoe = break. I always tell my tailor to hem all of my pants to have "no break". Therefore I rock my pants at just at or right above my ankle. But that's personal preference. The whole "peep the leg opening measurement" thing is the best way to see how any pair of pants will fit you, without having to try them on. I stick with the small handful of the same brands that I have other items from and have worn in my wardrobe for years. For me, it's Kenneth Cole, Express, and dstld for all denim and chinos. Which brands to you buy repeatedly from? What brand makes your favorite pants/jeans? Go and grab a couple pairs of pants from that brand. I'm talking about the ones that are your favorite! That you LOVE the way they fit and look on you. Now measure the leg opening of those badass pants of yours, and write it down. Then the next time you're shopping for pants, check their description and try to get the fit/cut that has the same or closest leg opening to your favorite pair's. This way, you'll always have an accurate way to know that any new pants/jeans that you order will fit just like your favorite ones that you wish all your pants fit like.
@@poetrealoisio9942 believe it or not, because I am passionate about always finding the best fit in pants, I read this entire paragraph and I agree with pretty much everything! My go-to, favorite pants are traveler pants from Banana republic. Usually they fit me amazingly so I will use them as my reference for future pants I buy. The Gap/Banana Republic brand treats me well in general when it comes to pants. As for the tip about the skinny fit, I agree with you. My only issue is that I have an athletic built. I have a small waist (32) and muscular thighs and quads so usually the skinny description on pants, if the waist is indeed 32, usually applies to me and I can’t even pull the pants up my leg, or if I can, I can’t close them because I have a gluteus MAXimus 😂 I appreciate the lengths you went to in order to impart this knowledge!
I swear if wearing womens bikini tops was a "trend" this guy would do it. Wear what u want and what makes u feel good. Crop tops make no man look like a man
Hey Alex, i have to thank you I saw one of your videos 1 1/5 years ago and it definitely made me a better person. I knew at that time with my 24 only work and efficient. Through your inspiration for fashion, I also learned to enjoy moments. now i spend a lot more time with friends and family, going out or doing sports. Work isn't everything! I had to learn that first. Thank you Alex greeting Marcel from Germany
Gonna pass on the bandana. Not my style. If anything, it's going to be functional. Hanging on my back pocket and I'll use it for work that's going to make me sweat like tying it on my forehead or something.
Alex..You failed to mention that Coofandy’s delivery times are horrible!! I’m in Los Angeles and it’s been 8 weeks, still I haven’t received that same linen shirt you’re wearing
Long term subscriber. I have to say I find the focus on "looking different" is making me a bit sad. You mention it almost as a requirement to "being yourself".
I do have a question for you alex, being a student in university, I cant wear old money astesthic. It takes a lot of effort and you stand out too much in classroom. So recommend some aesthetic for college! I am tired of oversize t-shirt. Rightnow, I am rocking half sleeve shirts.
old money aesthetic love that but my dad has been dressing like this forever, ive also been killing it for 20years now, this style is is a lifestyle not a trend many of us have been looking like this for so long its become part of us now the mainstream is picking it up now its a style in the now. But i guess each to his own. great content watch all the time
Although these vedios in this channel is for men but i am a girl i wach the vedios to teach my male friends. And also some tups are good for me . I can do them
I have also started my youtube channel since 1 year by seeing his video . And get inspired thanks a lot alex my personality has improved nicely people compliment me about my fashion sense and style they said where do you get those nice fashion ideas . Hey Alex, I have seen many people with your type of voice, don't know why Tho, i love it. Is there a specific name to the way you sound ? If you dont understand what i mean, i can give you an example... You and celebrity Stephen Amell sound similar.... what is the name to that voice? @alexcosta
I wear a silky or cotton bandana with my outfits sometimes and I love it. I started trying them out two years ago after the pandemic when I wanted to elevate my look without being too complicated. Same with cross body bags. I find them so useful because I hate stuffing my pockets which eventually creates holes in my pants. Two trends I was definitely way early to. My personal style is more timeless explorer/European summer though so it made sense. Great content as always!
There are some nice long sleeve options for those of us who must be careful in the sun. Lightweight shirts with UV protection for the beach, golf course, walking, hiking, or even working outside. I wish you all the best Jamie!
Like your video a lot. Not just because the video but the sponsor of this video. I really wanted 2-3 pairs of linen shirts but the mall near me puts them at like 60-80$ per shirt. This helps a TON. I don't normally make comments like this but thanks again for this.
Would you want to wear the slightly crop tops when you have no desire to look taller? I'm 6'' and I really dont care if I look shorter or taller. I'm average height and that works for me.
UPDATED CLOSET TOUR REQUIRED! would love to see what items REMAIN from the first video
I started going out naked so I don't have clothing problems anymore
I love these styles but how do i find these in plus sizes? I really struggle finding affordable options in larger sizes.

That means a lot man, thank you!
Let's be honest. Alex doesn't know fashion, he's videos are just one long ad for a product

Bro how's the boys trip going....enjoying?

Coofandy is not shipping to the Middle East. Have a word with them Alex
Is coofandy true to size? Because a medium is a size 43 chest but that's normally an XL
And don’t wear a bandanna if you’re in a rough neighborhood…
That’s what I was thinking 😂
@alexcosta what do you recommend for an alternative to Skinny jeans ?
Great video. So much inspiration from you!
That means a lot man, thank you!
I don't understand the slightly cropped top trend when you can just tuck the shirt into your pants for the same effect 🤷♀️
Also please do a video on how to achieve the "rule of thirds". That's usually what I gather when I hear cropped tops.
Is drip good
