It’s the story of Armin Mews the modern German cannibal but taught from the side of the man that got eaten. Mews put an advertisement online in 2002 that he was looking for a well build man between 25-35 willing to be eaten. And someone actually answered and volunteered to be killed and eaten. They cooked and ate his penis before he died in a bathtub of blood loss. Then Mews kept eating him for weeks.
The song starts : I’m meeting a gentleman he likes me so much he can eat me. Soft parts and hard too.
Mein Teil means - My Part.
The lady in the video is actually the drummer Christoph Schneider in drag. We call her Frau Schneider.
This is a great song. I REALLY recommend checking out a live version of the song (either a pro-shot from 2013 or one of the 2019-2022 recordings) WITH subtitles. It's a fascinating song about the case of Armin Meiwes. Read up on it if you want
This Lady is the drummer from Rammstein
The video was shot without a fixed storyboard after a suggestion from keyboardist Flake. The band members improvised their scenes in a "black box" equipped with few or no props, without knowing beforehand in which direction the other band members wanted to go. The idea was to let themselves be guided by spontaneous associations in a kind of Butoh theater, while the song plays in the background.
The live version of this song (a profession recording maybe check out the live in Paris version) is what at first made me obsessed with them. It was so beautiful to me.
the "angelscene" was filmed with very few people present; Till stuffed feathers in his mouth until he started to vomit... they go to great lengths; in "Rosenrot" they flagellated themselves until they started to bleed... Just crazy!
