When I made a fringed item a few years ago, I sewed a straight stitch along the line where I wanted my fringe to end to secure things, then I pulled the fabric threads right up to that point. Very secure!

I love your scarf. I have a question about the fringe. Do strings from the fringe come out on their own once you get the edges the way you want them?

Do you wash platitude fabric before sewing? Happy New Year.
Hi Tonya. Because it is a loose weave I would wash it on a gentle cycle or wash by hand. Then lay flat to dry. Thanks for watching. Happy sewing, and happy new year. 😍
