Here's a converted recipe! I just copy and pasted the one in the description and put the converted measurements and temperatures. I hope that it works, I think you can definitely adjust it as you see it. For 9 pieces The first step is to make the custard cream. 1. Sift 1 tbsp. of cornstarch and 2 tbsp. of sugar. 2. Mix and add 4 oz. of milk. 3. Also put in 1 egg yolk and mix. Add 2-4 drops vanilla extract. 4. Strain it through a mesh. 5. Loosely cover it with plastic wrap. Put it in the microwave for 2 minutes. (We have a 1100 watt microwave and it came out just fine so don't worry if your microwave isn't 500 watts!) 6. Mix it. 7. Wrap it again. Put it in the microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds this time. 8. Add and mix 1 tbsp. of butter. 9. Place a plastic wrap so it sticks to the custard's surface and cool it in the refrigerator. Make Bread (It is possible to knead by hand.) (I did this part by hand because I don't have a food processor, it IS possible, just use a lot of flour to get it at the consistency in the video.) 10. Mix and knead 1 cup of flour, a tsp. of salt, 3 tbsp. of sugar, half of the packet of dry yeast, .5 oz. of fresh cream (whipping cream works just fine), .5 oz. of milk, and 4 oz. of water. 11. When the dough is mixed through, put in 3 tbsp. of unsalted butter and knead them into the dough. 12. Roll it into a ball. Put it into a bowl lightly coated with vegetable oil. Let the dough rest for 40 minutes in a warm place. 13. Once the dough has doubled in size, use your fist to gently allow the gas to escape from the dough. Separate the dough in 9 parts 1 oz. in size to make the bear faces. Divide the remaining dough into 18 equal parts for the ears. (alternatively, you can divide the dough into 10 equal parts, use 9 for the faces and then take the remaining one and divide it into 18 parts for the ears.) Roll them into balls and cover them with a damp cloth and let them rest for 15 minutes. 14. Divide the cooled custard cream (9) into nine equal parts (about .5 oz. each). 15. Stretch out the dough of the face part (13) and fill it with the custard cream then seal the dough closed. 16. Attach the ears (13) to (15). 17. Carry out secondary fermentation in a warm place so the dough increases in size by one and a half. 18. Preheat your oven to 375°F, then lower the temperature to 350°F and bake for 10 minutes. Then lower the temperature to 300°F and bake for an additional 8 minutes. If your bread is starting to brown, cover it with aluminum foil. 19. After it has finished baking, let it cool on a cooling rack. 20. Draw a bear face with cocoa powder dissolved in a little water. 21. And now you're done!
I made this and it taste super super good! Also take note that oiling the bowl is a must as it holds the dough together when you knead it. I just double boiled my custard and put the cling wrap as I didn't have a microwave. Fresh cream can be substituted for heavy cream or whipping cream. Will definitely try again!
Hello. I love this video. However I really would love if you show more of each phase, even though the whole length get longer. Because that slowness makes the peaceful atmosphere and I love it....
I just tried this recipe today! It didn't turn out as pretty as yours but it was my first time ever making bread so it's normal. It tasted very good. I learned a lot about bread making this! :D Big thanks from a fan from Canada!
I was hoping someone could answer a question about the baking? I converted the Celsius to Fahrenheit and everything, but I'm a little confused about the way she phrased it. From my understanding, I'm supposed to preheat the oven to 325F, put the bread in and then set the oven to 375F for 10 minutes, and then lower it to 300F for the remaining 8 minutes. Does that sound right?
Yes that sounds correct😃 baking delicate pastries like these May take some detailed oven work but it all pays off when you have that delicious fluffy dessert to eat, it all pays off😃😃😄
kiki lala nope, it was just before going into the oven. since you don't glaze it with anything, it'll bake crisp and hard. this was from a cooking book i read years ago. but you can find the tutorial on youtube too. search bunny / cat yeast rolls.
Ola! Você é um gourmet de mãos cheias. Parabéns! E hoje que tomei conhecimento da sua pessoa. Adoro o seu canal. Posso não entender uita coisa, pois é tudo em japones, mas gosto de ver mesmo assim, suas receitas. Bjs!
I made these quite a while back and it was my first time, but it was so good! the bread was soft but not too soft and the custard was very good considering the fact it was cooked in the microwave haha!

Bread dough in the microwave. Mind blown. ...and I want a pink Silpat.
Looking great ! Tks for your updating the videos.
I'm sooo going to make these, and kitty versions :D
kitty won't work because the triangle shape needs the putty to be thin at some parts which is not possible
Awwwww, oh well :D it's super cute food, so I don't mind ^_^
Thank you for letting me know kiki lala
Kristina Gausden it can, i've seen people make tiny triangle ears by snipping the dough with small sharp scissors.
Izzati Hassan
I think they do after its been cooked ? if so it wouldnt look that good
