As someone who went through severe depression while living alone for over a year, I’m glad I never got this bad. It was horrible and every time I saw it I felt ashamed and spiral down further. Once I started cleaning again it felt so much better. It’s was tough though because it kept happening but now I’m doing way better and got help. I ended up having to move back halfway across the country and quit my really good job to stay with my mom. Don’t hesitate or be afraid to ask for help, it will get better ❤
I’m pretty sure this guy is just lazy (I was depressed and it was hard to take care of my personal hygiene so I understand), maybe not but I think he just lives like this without mental health issues.
People like this shouldn't be trusted to live alone, mold infestation that bad can potentially condemn a house. It is mind boggling to me that a person can live like this so casually, I can barely tolerate dust on a shelf.
My room used to look like this minus the bugs when I struggled with seasonal depression for a few months the things mental health makes you do is insane
Remember it's important to not generalise every situation, even though it is bad some people physically cannot clean etc etc. Servere depression (which most people are unlikely untreated) is a real thing. :)) (Coming from experience, I was so depressed I didn't get out of bed, wash or brush my hair or my teeth and my room was a mess, but now I'm a lot better and cleaning myself everyday!)
@Mr.Yuki-n-Mrs.Sarang my dad told me once about how one of his coworkers has this food bowl at work that he NEVER washes. Uses it, quickly rinses, and uses again. important info: If there is roaches in your house - you absolutely should not be ashamed, find professional to deal with it. Roach infestation can occure in any house, no matter how clean - it takes just a few of them to walk nearby and crawl through the pipe, ventilation etc., and then thay stay forever, untill you call specialist who deal with pests. Bc roaches cant care less how clean your house is - they sure love when there's a mess, but they actually like it bc there's a lot of space to hide in, there can be zero food, and they still can thrive.
Exactly. My brother, super minimalist, hardly any furniture, lived in a nice apartment but the roaches just would not stop. It was just a problem in the city where he lived. It was a constant battle to keep them under control.
Same thing for bed bugs. 6:37 THAT IS WHAT HAS BEEN BLEACHING MY UNDERWEAR?! Bro the absolute irony of me finding out this information this way I even can’t lmaooo. But yeah, I though the spot was getting bleached because of how often I have to handwash that part. Like, sure, I don’t use bleach but my silly brain thought that lots of soap could somehow bleach it overtime. Turns out it’s all me 😭
I had a roommate whose room looked like that… but worse. There was garbage everywhere (including random medication), it smelled horrible, there was a weird stain in the carpet, and she didn’t even use sheets on her mattress (I gave her some to borrow, but after a while, she didn’t use them and I found out she somehow tore them). Idk how people can stand to live like that
I used to live in a hoarders house because my dad could never clean up things cuz my parents got divorced and he was in a deep state of depression so my room actually kinda looked like this at on point and not to mention that there would be trash pathways while you couldn’t even use the dining room table so when this guy shows his room and says “this is very clean” and its still a wreck I felt that deep in my soul ngl
I was in the same situation but when I turned 18 I finally moved out to my moms house but yea my room was so bad I got used to the smell of moldy food and all that
This sort of state of disarray almost ALWAYS comes from a mental disorder - severe depression and hoarding disorder most often. I really hope this individual gets help. Also, the office chair is probably ruined because they sit on it for so long without getting up.

That bathtub looks like it’s used about once every 6 months. That dried out rust stain is what I see on houses that have been vacant for months. I also saw it in my guest bathroom. That shower was never used in the 2 years I was there and got like that. (I literally never went in there so I had no idea, since no one ever used it and it was immaculate when I moved in.) (I had 3 bathrooms so I showered in the one in the master bath. Just wanted to clarify since this is the internet and people will assume that means no one showered lol)
Ik how u feel, mine is because of water, our shower curtain fell and we have to bathe n stuff without it. So it gets water on the floor and theres only a little mold. But as long as its not bad its alr :)
I have had severe depression for years. When i was young i lived alone and it got so bad to the point where I shared a bed with roaches, sleeping on the dirty floors that were sticky and wet with week old Coca-Cola, food was spoiled all around me and everything stank. I had no energy or will to even shower and i only went out to school and once a week to buy food. Flies and bugs were everywhere and i would sleep almost all day and stay up all night rotting from the inside out. I got so much to work on and now i live with roommates and my room is still dirty but i never let it get that bad ever again so i don't know how this young man who has so much to do in life can sit in that room and not feel miserable. Idk how people can stand to live like that
How did she tear them ? 😮

This is how mothers see our rooms when we don't tidy up for 1 day
Literally..
You literally always make me laugh, I’m cramping over here and you are my LIGHT 😭

I also hope that he has support from friends or family. It's tough getting out of a hole like this on your own.

For the first year I moved out of my parents house I struggled to keep my flat clean because of severe depression and I always thought it was horrible, but now I see it was nothing compared to this guy 💀
Yeah, it gets rough for some people. Sounds like you are doing better though ❤!
@@reganroar0022 definitely, it turns out majority of people who have just started living on their own have these kind of problems so I also don't feel so alone in this issue. I'm doing great now, my apartment is clean, I'm just scared of the upcoming winter since that's when my depression will get worse again 💀
I understand that severe depression can prevent people from cleaning, but you really need to take back control of your life if it gets this musty and gunky and bad.
I hope posting this gave him a reality check and helps get him the support he needs.
He knows that. That’s why he’s making the videos. Keep in mind it’s a lot easier said than done
Much easier said than done. I can compare it to sobriety, the journey isn't linear. You just learn not to give up.

Honestly, I've found it really helpful to do just one hour a day. Doesn't matter how much I get done, it's a matter of being proud of myself that I worked for an hour. I have an hour timer on RUclips so I just pull up a few videos or play my watch later and RUclips will tell me when to stop.
I also struggle with feeling overwhelmed so I pulled a kindergarten move and made popsicle sticks with different chores. The sticks choose for me 😂
Put on music & grab trash bags for all that mess and THEN you will feel better

That bathtub looks like it’s used about once every 6 months. That dried out rust stain is what I see on houses that have been vacant for months. I also saw it in my guest bathroom. I have had severe depression for years.
