depends on the boat also. My Yamaha tower lowers forward. So if going under a bridge, it's blocking almost everything at the captain's chair which is annoying and a little dangerous. It's also impossible to raise or lower with just one person. My friend has a Malibu where the tower lowers to back, and can be raised/lowered by 1 person. MUCH better setup. Something I didn't think of when buying my boat.
I love your videos. They’re always interesting and informative. I’ve learned a lot about different boating topics. I totally agree about towers. It’s odd to see a boat without one today, and they reduce clutter in the boat.
