I think Selanne was right when he said that Aho was the best player out of that 2016 Finnish World Junior line of Puuljarvi - Aho -Laine. Laine was easily the most inconsistent player in 2018-2019. Aho produces more and he actually moves his feet and backchecks!
Yeah, sucks to see Laine like that but after the playoffs he's got all summer to try to get back into form so let's see what happens. I agree as well, Aho has done well this season.
EpicHockeyFan I'm kind of wondering what happened to Laine. He has had cold streaks before, but he only had like 5 goals in the final 40 games. That's very unusual after such prolific scoring. Confidence is gone and he doesn't seem to work as hard. I expect big things in the playoffs to overcome the disappointment of his season.

Aho does alot more but cant really compare them, they have totally different roles in their teams. aho drives the offence and laine finishes.

Agreed, Matthews could've had 50 this year if it wasn't for the early stoppage of the season. I hope Laine can improve for this next season.
