I’ll do my best if I get one in. But if you check out my one vid on me doing the 15 hp version of this motor which are exactly the same in the mid section and shift setup I go through with that one on adjusting it
I have the same motor as that, and it won't rev as high as yours on the water. If i go full throttle, after about 3/4 and past it bogs right down and will just about stall. I have to find the magic spot to get it to rev as high as it will go but i know it should go higher.
I used a Sierra 18-7212 carb kit. Don’t remember what the oem kit #is but the Sierra ones have been working fine for me. You won’t use all the gaskets in the kit but as long as you watch the carb part in my vid I show which ones you need
I’ve only been following your channel for about a month now and I’m impressed with the motors you repair. I just got one question , I’m sorry if I’m being rude by asking. Why are you wearing a bandana over your face ? I’m Just curious is all
So basically I work at a marina. I wear it cus I tend to use it to cover my face to help with not inhaling so much smoke when I’m workin on inboard motors or even some of these smoky 2 strokes. It kinda turned into my thing and I wear it over my face in videos to hide my identity till further notice lol. But I usually just wear them around my neck till I need it. A lot handier than you would think especially in this field. I appreciate the message and that’s just a little reason why I wear the mask
Great job brother. Keep it going im learning from you and im 65 just got into outboard motors in fact im working on a 1973 25hp evinrude and FIRST EXPERIENCE hands on so I need a lot off help thank you so much Chris from OHIO gooooooo Buckeyes
Wow nice find.. looking forward to new vids
Great footage editing 👍🏻
Great vid. I'm trying to choose between buying one like this or a 4 stroke 9.9. The difference in weight is a big factor. But nice dilemma to have 😊
Can you do a video on adjusting the reverse lock mechanism? Also how to adjust the shift shaft.

Also I have a 9.9 hp parts motor, would I notice a performance difference by swapping carbs? Thanks
do you know what the part number for the Carb kit was?

What year is this? I can’t hardly find parts online and mine looks just like this one
Like a mid 90s model. Use boats.net and use your serial number range. These motors were the same for many years
Hi do you have the carb kit number thank You
Sierra 18-7212 is the aftermarket kit. Can use this number then to find an oem kit if ya want but I used the Sierra lot
Thank You So Much for all Your Help HAVE A BLESSED DAY
