OK I agree with everyone who's unhappy because they watched these highlights to look at the last controversial call and it wasn't included?? Why? What's up, Show the plays that are controversial for God sake. I'm a 68 y.o. lifelong Jayhawk fan.
Ive seen a lot of people complain that this elbow to the face wasn't intentional. Flagrant fouls don't have to be intentional, it just means unnecessary and excessive contact, and an elbow to the face does fall under that definition
First of all, no. Inadvertent elbows are NOT flagrant. Only excessive is, which that play was not. Secondly, the refs by rule need to let the play go on and blow the whistle dead after the conclusion of that play. Instead they stopped it for Kansas. Called a horrendous flagrant that even the announcers and head official said was not flagrant. Gave Kansas 2 free throws and the ball. All while taking away a 5-4 when tcu was up 2. This game was absolutely robbed from TCU and you should be embarrassed as a Kansas fan even trying to defend what took place in that game. That officiating was a disgrace to college basketball and just further solidified the notion that blue chip programs get help from refs to keep their status up
