I'm pretty sure they're using Pabloracer's engine sound mod in this video. Still, U2 undeniably has sone of the best engine sounds in any racing game to date. It's the reason I fell in love with the VQ engine and ended up with a G37.
Hands down the best mod I've seen for this game..I would definitely play underground 2 all day all week with this mod and cars, NFS needs to remaster this game along with most wanted 2005
Wow the difference is night and day. Or rather night and better night. The only thing I'd change is the skybox, those buildings look too massive and repeating. The textures look incredible.
Its cool and all but if you save more money you could buy a shitty car and do some drift in some abandoned place i think its more fun but hey thats up to you G

I don't care how good it looks, just make those fucking civilian cars use their indicators as they're changing lanes. My biggest beef with NFSU2 is civilian traffic, convenient lane changes to hinder you at most technical turns, cars going at snail pace so that you crash on them at apexes and stupid random turns just when you're passing by
I have a huge problem when I install a mod package. When I load the game, it overwrites my save profile and replaces it with a profile named Deluxa and even overwrites my custom soundtrack. Yet I can't find this Deluxa save profile anywhere on my computer.
Wait wait WAIT THE SEC. Wtf? Why if I turn my car in different directions on the open terrain and look on the sky I saw the same pictures of Bayview skyscrapers?
Despite being a beautiful mod, there was something that bothered me a lot, the roads have a flickering aspect, I don't know if it's because of some sharpening filter, lack of antialiasing, or even anisotropic filtering, but there is something about the roads that it bothers me a lot. PS: This is noticeable even in car reflections.
I always wondered why the newer the car game, the engine sounds tend to suck. To be clear, not all new car games suck but they are rarely better than ps2/3 Xbox/360. Either way, nice project. Been waiting for a new NFS to use the same game physics and Play style, just update the graphics. The handling models have gotten worse and worse over the years instead of better. Too damn Arcady.
Sorry but this looks like PS2 emulation verses a mod. I just installed the game again I got things like light reflections on the streets, hints PS2 verses PC, also PC rain sticks to the view field.... I can say honestly just running both with no mods, yeah I know
