All though this is a Chinese Airline I still appreciate the service. I love Hainan Airlines 787-9's they're really beautiful and has my favorite colors. The best thing about your 787-9s: the GEnx engines. Rolls Royce-powered Dreamliners are really struggling right now, but the GE-powered Dreamliners seem to be doing just fine!

2-2-2 layout in Business class is not good. The passenger sitting inside will find some challenge accessing the aisle, especially when the passenger sitting in the aisle seat is sleeping lying flat. I usually find the opportunity when the aisle passenger goes to the lavatory. As such, I prefer to take Hainan's A330-300 business cabin.
They have just announced the change of the business class seats into 1-2-1 herringbone layout on their future B787-9. They also plan to scale down the excessive use of red in their cabin. Looking forward to the new B787-9. Hope they could refurbish all of their twin aisle jets into their new design.
It just has not been implemented at this moment. I just flew in their B-1540 Kungfu Panda B787-9. Still 2-2-2. But we all expect the new layout! :)
whwhwh55 The first Hainan 789 with 1-2-1 business layout was delivered 1 week ago. It is operating PEK-CAN route now.

Hainan Airlines 你们的新B787-9商务舱鱼骨座位设计真是不错。舱内红色的使用也变少了，让人感觉没这么刺眼。希望可以把所有787重装成新设计，把所有A330-200换成A330-300的座位设计。
