I am routine addicted for sure! ☕️ My feet hit the floor and go straight for the coffee pot and my Bible. Yes in that order. 🤦🏻♀️ It is a cozy routine and I don’t really want to miss it. ❤ It’s especially nice if I am kid free because I got up earlier than them. 😊
Routine addicted! Love that. Yes, the Bible and a hot cup of coffee are best enjoyed before the kids wake up! 🤗
Thanks Emily, I have thought that I am addicted to coffee but I have been able to go without it occasionally .
I really enjoy it. Thanks again for sharing your experience. ❤
I’m glad you have found a good balance! It’s certainly something we can enjoy without it controlling us. 😊
Hi Emily! Thanks for this video. I’m glad you don’t get headaches anymore. I drink about a cup and a half a day but if I go without I’m ok. My husband drinks 2 large pots everyday. We go through 4 creamers a week and a large bag of Starbucks. My husband just enjoys coffee. Like you said it’s a warm hug. Who doesn’t like lots of hugs lol 😅
That’s good you can go without if you need to! I’m glad I’m finally at that point as well. Yes, it’s nice to enjoy a warm coffee especially when it’s cold or rainy in the morning! 😊
I like your perspective that it's okay to enjoy coffee too! I'm not a coffee person but this is how I feel about chocolate! 😊
Yes! 🤗
Thank you so much for this video Emily! It was so helpful and made me feel a lot better. I wasn't able to cut out coffee completely but I have been able to cut down to one cup a day, it's just something that I really enjoy and like you said helps get me out of bed! As always your insight is so helpful, thank you again!
Thank you for the question, Gloria! I’m so glad the video was helpful. 💗☕️
There's many things in our life that can be like this. The question I ask the Lord is, will this be a profit to my life (regardless of what someone else is doing). Is Christ in me wanting coffee today? That's where we have to come to Him....we can let Him make the judgement call for us....we are His temple carrying His life! Makes me think of 1 Cor. 6:12....
[12] All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
God bless you friend. ❤️
Great perspective! So good to ask the Lord and not compare to others. That is the verse that I was thinking of too. God bless you too, Cindy!
I thought this video was really interesting! Whenever I am pregnant I have to go off coffee just because I can’t stand it. But even though I can’t stand it I still miss enjoying it every morning. 😩😅 The first time I stopped drinking it cold turkey and I definitely felt pretty terrible. Since then, when I’m going off coffee I will drink half caf for a bit first (I just mix regular and decaf) and slowly wean myself off like you did and that works much better.
Great idea to mix decaf with regular!
Emily, your initial headache may have been caffeine withdrawal, and the continuing headaches may have signaled dehydration. I love coffee, just as my grandmother did.
I think you are exactly right! I’m working on drinking more water. 😊
